Stick Marsh with GerogeWelcome as my guide.
http://www.imaginationbassin.com/
I could only narrow it down to three. I've never been to these places before, but I'd like to try the Cal. Delta, Guntersville and Falcon
In reality, when I'm living in PA, the lake of my dreams is small and about 10 minutes away. I do incredibly well there. It was impounded in 72, I started fishing it soon after they closed the gate valve. Not saying I do well because I'm an expert or anything, I just spend 60-70 days a year at this particular lake. I never fish weekends, just thru the week. I'm able to fish it "with the weather"
I've got a place in Levy County Fla, down the road is a wet prarie lake. It's Ultra private & belongs to my aunt & uncle When I was growing up & it was at full pool it was about a hundred acres. Now it's just several small ponds. It is and always will be my dream lake.
It's where I cast my first plastic worm, one of those long black things pre rigged w/ the double hooks with weedguards
that looked like a tire tread. That and a snagless sally.
I still do actually dream about it.
Lake Biwa. My guide: Mr Miagi
El Salto during pre spawn.

Smallmouth - Dale Hollow or Hastie Lake, ON
Largemouth - Falcon or Cal. Delta
Lake Fork
A three-lake trifecta of Amistad, Falcon and Choke Canyon. MY favorite present lake is Lake Kissimmee.

Largemouth-Falcon with Catt
EL SALTO - I've fished El Salto and it was hilarious. I was smiling and chuckling like a school girl for 8 hours. Caught 3-8 pounders every 10 minutes or less all day. There was one time during the day there was a 20-30 minute lull between fish but it was usually something like, catch a 6 pounder, throw it back, wait 7 minutes, catch a 4 pounder, throw it back, catch a 5,7,7 in three casts, throw them back, move the boat to another spot, make 6 casts, catch a 8 pounder, rinse and repeat. To be there when it's pre spawn would be epic, especially if the El Salto cycle is on the rise. According to my guide, some years it's down, but most others the place fishes like magic.
If I go again, I'm telling my guide to not worry about numbers, and put my on a 13+ Don't care if I fish all day for one bite.
Lake Zaza in Cuba (obv not in the USA) - Supposed to be completely insane with potential world records swimming around. 25 pounders have supposidly been caught by accident in local fishermans nets.
Falcon and Amastad - If you watch the Bassmasters Elite series you have to love 'em right?
Castaic Lagoon - If it's good enough for Butch Brown, it's good enough for me.
But my true "dream lake" would be the one I build if I ever win the lottery and have a few million to toss around. You'd all be welcome to fish it, but you might get bored to death catching over 100 6-20 pound LMB's every time you fished it. ;D ;D

RW You are welcome in my boat any time for St.Clair!!! You can't beat springtime
smith mountain lake
I'm quite happy here amid the Kissimmee chain of lakes,
but if I were run out of Florida at gunpoint, I'd head to Falcon Lake, Texas
Roger
Hey Rodger maybe we can both get Catt to take us out on Falcon. Sounds like fun and I can go to school watching you both!
I'd love to go to Lake Champlain.
Lake of the Woods.
Pickwick with all my boys at BR! Serouisly I'm not kidding I've never landed a SM and I'm dieing to get into some!! Right now that's my number one goal for fishing. After that it would be to go some place to catch some 10 pounders. It would probably be Amistad with a guide but the same goes for El Salto.
Choke Canyon is my home lake here in South Texas I live about 25 miles from there. I love this lake the past year my brother has caught two 10+ pounders here and I've boated 3 over 7. I've been to Falcon about 7 times and IMHO this is the best lake in "America". Falcon is about a 4 hour drive for me. Every time we go there we (Me,my dad and brother) catch numerous bass over 5lbs and three years ago my dad caught a family best 14.29. So I guess my vote is Falcon with Choke and Amistad second. Lake I would most like to fish is prob. Lake Fork which is also about 4 hours away however I've never been. Like 70% of the Texas top 50 bass came out of Fork, however Fork is not quite that good anymore.
Right now I would settle for the ice melting off the lakes.
My dream pond is the one a few hundreds yards across the street to the west of our home.
It's no match for El Salto, and some of the others mentioned, but it is very special to me.
A half mile long, a quarter mile wide, it is surrounded by private property, some of which is farm fields.
Once a terrific smallmouth pond, largemouth were dumped into the pond when a truck headed to stock another pond broke down, and a local farmer towed the broke down truck to the pond, and there the driver dumped the load of largemouth bass.
I've taken a fellow from Florida with me. He likes to fish, but does not have much experience. I set him up with my T-bone special, one worm hooked wacky style and another hooked through the head and secured at the eye of the hook.
When we finished, he said that wasn't much fun, it was too easy. It's a pretty little pond, set in a hollow. Every day you see osprey, herons, kingfishers, a snowy egret or two, and occasionally, a bald eagle.
Many days I have the pond to myself. The most pressure I have seen is two or three other boats on the pond. Once in a while someone shows up with a full fledged bass boat.
Speaking with them, they usually come to the pond to soothe their bruised egos when they've struggled through a rough tournament.
I only fished it a handful of times after July last year. Spent a lot of time prospecting Cape Cod ponds for smallmouth and largemouth.
I found one down there that challenges Devol for my affection. But it's about forty-five minutes away. Devol, I can be on the water about ten minutes after I leave the door.
I've been told that pond on the Cape has a lot of boating during the summer. Most of my fishing at that pond took place in September and October, when most of the summer folk had gone.

But Catt's boat is only 15-ft long, which means there's no room for me ;D
Sounds like a pregnant idea Dwight, but I'll be the brain-picker
Roger
I have a list of lakes to someday fish that are scattered all over the country so picking a dream lake is tough. I am leaning toward Falcon though.
I'm kinda biased, since a 15 minute drive puts me smack in the middle of Kentucky Lake, or a 30 minute drive lands me on Barkley. So I've got two great largemouth lakes handy. I moved here from Erie, Pa, so my heart belongs there for smallies.
Falcon this, Falcon that, El Salto this, El Salto that, yadda, yadda, bla, bla .....
You 'll never know how Paradise looks like unless you 've been to Sugar Lake. only a stone cast away from MacAllen.

I've heard some quite whisper about Sugar Lake
I do fish my dream lake- Lake Erie. for Smallies
Kentucky Lake for Large mouth, I was here with boat restrictions, so I'd like to fish it again with the boat I have now.

1. El Salto for a week or so.
2. the 6-8 acre lake I am planning on my newest farm. Hope to break ground this year. We shall see.
I have a buddy who always goes own and own about Lake Murray in SC...wouldn't mind giving that one a try... and Lake Amistad is always intriguing..
Lake Erie for smallmouth and any one of Bill Dance's private ponds for largemouth
Lake Ontario or the Thousand Islands.
A lake no one has heard of and hasn't been fished yet. Hey you said dream lake
