If you could fish with a pro for the day who would you fish with and why?
Ill start by saying I would fish with david dudley because I feel I have a lot in common and he offers a wide varriety of info
I would fish like Bill Dance (as long as he dosnt push any lures on me lol). But seriously he seems like a really nice guy that you could have fun with and also serious fish talk. Plus he ALWAYS catches big bass
Steve "Big-O" Parks...me...Fork...night
bobby lane
G-Man
The legendary Bill Dance. Could talk college football and have a good ole time fishin with a fellow southern buddy.

X2
I would like to fish with Ike, he's fun, acts young, and is aggressive. But I think we'd butt heads cause he gets frustrated easily, as do I, lol.
JT Bagwell would be another choice. I'd like to catch bass in my home state (IL) and he could show me where and how.
Of course Bill Dance, he does seem like a nice old guy that could entertain you for hours with his stories, while teaching you a thing or two.
Jimmy Houston! He has been around long enough and has won a couple tournaments here and there to teach me a few things lol...
My main reason though, the dude is HILARIOUS! Funniest fishing show on TV by far IMHO.
I'd like to be on that boat with catt and Big O. I feel that I would learn so much, and have a great time while at it.
Probably Mike McClleland because of his knowledge of deep water strcuture.
Joe Thomas or Charlie Hartley. They both love bass fishing, have a true passion for the sport and appear to be down to earth guys.
Jeff Kriet
Ike, Edwin Evers, Tim Horton
I think they are all good guys and Ike above all because of his passion and how good he is.
surprised no one's said KVD yet. Roland Martin and Edwin Evers would be good too.
Quotesurprised no one's said KVD yet. Roland Martin and Edwin Evers would be good too.
I thought the samething, but I think many want to say it, but don't want to be "that guy," lol.
QuoteI'd like to be on that boat with catt and Big O. I feel that I would learn so much, and have a great time while at it.
If the boat can hold 4, I'm in.
I'll be "that guy" - KVD. To me, he is the best. Why not learn from the best?
Tim Horton, Jason Quinn. Skeet Reese, KVD are some of the guys I would like to spend some time with on the water.
John Crewes so I could maybe outfish my brother-in-law on Smith Mt. Lake.
Same answer as the last 5 times this post has been made. It's gotta be Ike. I have more in common with him than I do most anglers on tour. His outgoing A-Type personality fits right in with lots of my friends and myself.
I'm not a big fan of picking low key guys to fish with if I only have one day on the water with them. I know Ike is a great teacher who has a huge love of the game. I assume Ike would be a great dude to have a few beers with while we fish and shoot the nuts about angling.
Perhaps if I saw more of the other anglers doing internet interviews, and on TV interviews and fishing shows I'd know more about their personalities and pick one of them instead. Mike's on TV all the time so He's the easy choice.
I dont watch any tv fishing show anymore so the latest greatest pros I dont know much about.
The one person I would have liked to go fishing with, Virgil Ward. I grew-up watching his show.
I'd like to fish with Terry Butcher because we share the same home water, and I think I could learn a lot about that lake from him.
Cliff Crochet and Greg Hackney so I could get some helpful info on my local waters. Cliff did an awesome job this year especially for a rookie.
What about Derek Remitz?? Where did this kid even come from!
Bill Dance has always been a favorite, if not him the Denny Brauer to learn some jig fishing skills.

I don't think I could ever narrow it down to one person.
Roland Martin - Seems like a good guy. He's local, which means tons of local knowledge.
Ike - Probably would just be a good time and a good BS session while fishing.
Denny Brauer - I'd love to pick his brain on jig fishing for a while.
Edwin Evers - Each time I see him on TV or on a video, he seems to do a lot of the same kind of fishing I enjoy. Seems like a genuinely nice guy as well.
KVD - Obvious reasons. Who wouldn't want to fish with one of the best ever?
If I could spend one day fishing with anyone I chose, it would be with Butch Brown.
I like to change my answer to Roadwarrior, and have him put me on some BIG smallies!
QuoteSteve "Big-O" Parks...me...Fork...night
You said it catt, I would do any lake with Big O anytime...
QuoteI met Pete Gluszek last winter in Nashville at The Bass Universityseminar. Pete is arguably the best smallmouth fisherman on tour.
He would be my choice!

p.s.
Pete's my choice for "Tournamment Pro",
otherwise I would choose Big O.
8-)
He is also probably one of the most knowledgeable in dealing with tidal water out of ALL the pro's.
I would want to go fishing with Charlie Moore
Bill Dance without a question. He is funny and knowledgeable.
Man that really is a tough question.
I would have to choose Clay Dyer.
I think he would have a lot to offer.
My first choice would be the Z-Train! (Mark Zona) That guy is plain entertaining.
Then, Jeff Kreit, Denny Brauer, Shaw Grisby and Ike.
I have to go with KVD, Rick Clunn, Larry Nixon, and Denny Brauer.
I grew up when Clunn, Nixon, and Brauer were in their heyday.
I couldn't narrow it to 1 so I have a few people that I would love to fish with:
Bill Dance
KVD
Rick Clunn
Denny Brauer
Roadwarrior
Raul
Catt
Big O

I still remember watching them in the 80's on Bassmaster.
And the person who I would most likely try to drown is Charlie Moore.
Allen
It's a toss up for me. Larry Nixon or Tommy Biffle.
Gosh what a tough one..I did most of my serious tournament fishing back in the early 80's - 90's so keep that in mind..I'll list a few and why.
Gary Klein- I fished a pro-am once with him when he was up and coming on Ky lake. The man taught me how to set the hook properly..I have never seen a man set a hook on a bass like he could/can.
Hank Parker- Would just be an all around fun day now..Back in his tournament hay day he was all business though..
Tomm Mann- Would have loved to spent a day on any lake with him.
Woo Daves- To learn more about smallmouths.
Guido Hibdon- Love watching him use spinning gear to perfection.
Rick Clunn,Larry Nixon,KVD,Ike, for obvious reasons.
I know I'm leaving out some very good names here..Oh it was just supposed to be one..oops!!
You kiddin? Gotta be Kevin
Larry Nixon
David Wharton
Tommy Martin
I have spent a day with David and Tommy. Sad David passed away a while back. I would still like another day with each. Never got the chance with Larry.
I'd like to fish with Ike and SoFlaBassAddict. Both seem like good fun guys to shoot nuts with and I feel I could learn so much from them!
Todd Faircloth (Rayburn), Tommy Biffle (Toledo Bend), and Paul Elias (Falcon) Each has a special outlook and info on those lakes that I want. Certain techniques that I like and want to learn.
QuoteI'd like to fish with Ike and SoFlaBassAddict. Both seem like good fun guys to shoot nuts with and I feel I could learn so much from them!
Wow, I'm honored. Much obliged my good man. Anytime you find yourself down here in my area I'll put you on some fish that rarely see hooks.

Thanks! If I ever find myself in South Flo. i'll let you know !
Bill Dance
Shaw Grisby
Fish Fishburn
Denny Brauer
Randy McAbee. The man knows more about crankin then anyone else.
Dave Mercer.... If the fishing sucked, at least he would be entertaining
I wouldn't want to fish with KVD because he would take you some place you couldn't catch fish and he'd find some and catch 'em all. (KVD should just change his name to Pokemon...)
Al Lindner
Shaw Grigsby, Hank Parker, Edwin Evers, and Alton Jones. They just seem like genuinely nice guys who truly enjoy fishing, and would still do it even if they weren't making money at it.
As much as I like Ike, I think he'd have me ticked off by lunch. ;D
Paul Elias, Just seems like a true stand up kinda guy and would love to take notes on his deep cranking as well.
QuoteAl Lindner
Close 2nd for me, but us Minnesotans love the Linder family!

Ash Ketchum to be specific ;D

I would want to go fishing with him, If he's catching them and you're not, it presents a good learning opportunity IMO.
Are you kidding? KVD of course!..............Mike 8-)
I would fish with Edwin Evers and learn his crankbait techniques
If I could I would want one more day in the boat with my very good friend, The late, Great,
Billy Westmoreland.
Kelley
