This was my first bass of the year awhile back. Not a very impressive fish, but it is my favorite fishing picture. I never got to meet my grandpa, so when my wife looked at the picture later on and commented how I look just like him, it has become very special to me.
This is probably my favorite fishing picture that I have on my phone. It is from this may when I landed my personal best during a tournament.
i would say my favourite is this picture this was a nice fish that helped me build a ton of confidence in a jig it was a hard day but i was dragging a jig in 20' of water and she inhaled it
Mine is butch brown hoisting up a 65 pound limit
I don't know if I could ever pick a favorite, but these two are up there.
I have a face for radio.....but have some great pictures of kids and family.
Been quite a few 'favorites' over the years.
Tough to call one all time favorite.
Some of the more recent ones come to mind but I'm going with my son's first 'by himself fish' & one of my first trips.
A-Jay
I like the way this one came out
Caught this girl yesterday, breaking my PB. I'd say its prob 4 or 5 lbs, but of course I didn't have my scale. My buddy hadn't shown up yet, so this is the best picture I could get.
...then theres my avatar photo . I remember this day well . Caught these at a cousins pond with a cane pole and nightcrawlers . First timeI caught this many fish .
Standing on a boat dock my grandson Aiden asked me to tie him a jig on, after handing him the rod he proceeds to flip the jig under the dock. I started to say that aint gonna work but before the words left my mouth his sets hook.
First jig fish & first Hawg!
My son on the dock during the sunset
I like this one. I have a couple more I can dig up.
My dad and me sometime in the 1950's. Even with a toy fishing rod I had the bug. He's been gone 6 yrs now and I still miss him like crazy.

Aiden explaining what happens to a bass when he sets hook!
My son's first Bass. I had to help him hold it to get a decent pic. Good times and memories. They grow up so fast and they forget how much they liked fishing once they catch a whiff of the fumes (perfume and car fumes) We have only been out a handful of times this year as he is busy with the girlfriend and hanging with friends.
My son and I with our SMB PB. All 3 of us had a hand in the catch.
This is the most recent and one of my favorites. My favorite is a video of him catching his first bass.
My PB and My son's PB
Gotta be this one of my PB 4lber! ?
First and only sailfish landed in our boat so far
My mom really never cared to fish, but there was several times that she went with my Dad and I. I think my favorite pics are the ones with my mom out on the water holding a rod, trying to get into fishing.
Hard to pick just one but this one is tied to a pretty awesome memory. @micahthorlawson and I caught a 20lb 13oz limit in just under 3 hours of a weeknight club tournament in KS. Anchored by Micah' s 6.5lb PB. A day I will not soon forget.
Not sure if this is my favorite because it is one of my first fish or because of the killer fashion statement!
First 5+ pounder, first saltwater fish, and first tournament catches. I wish I had a picture of the first bass I caught on artificials.
Every year between Christmas & New Years I would go to Toledo Bend for my birthday present.
This is the middle of our winter so we're fishing deep offshore structure!
This one of my then month old grandson is my current favorite.
My son with his PB a few weeks ago on Istokpoga.

Getting him started on the frog early, way to go!!
I have two favorite pics.
The first one is of my grandad, who taught me how to fish. It was taken on the last fishing trip we did together, he just took it easy and threw a bobber catching sunfish while I fished for bass. He passed away on Thanksgiving Day 2015.
The other one is the first pre-spawn bass I ever caught, she weighed in at over 4 lbs. Got her on a Scatter Rap Crank.
I have both these photos framed on top of my desk.

Great stuff. I miss a few of my relatives that are gone. The trout fishing, bass fishing, deer and turkey hunting. But I have young grandsons that I get out. When I'm gone they will have more than enough stuff to use. Glad you and him shared the experiences.

Thanks
I think of him especially when I'm on the water. We had a great time.
Aiden & Hawgzilla ?
My 23 1/2" 6 pounder. I've caught a 7 lb but I don't have any goods pics since it was at night and I was by myself.

There's a whole lot of awesome in that sentence

Yes sir it was an awesome experience! I had never caught anything close to that big and I knew from the raw power she was big, it being night made it all the more mysterious and exhilarating!
This one is growing on me. Got my lil guy some new fishing clothes and gear last week. Here he is hard at work with his Tatula flippin combo.
@DINK WHISPERER, it looks like he's taking your signature to heart

?? Yes sir he is! His arm and wrist hurt at the end of the day but he will not give up! So proud of that guy.
Well, this isn't me, but it is my favorite fishing photo. This was a friend of ours (green shirt) when we lived in the Bahamas. He is Canadian, and some of the guys with him are Bahamian, others are winter residents. They did a fishing day southeast of our island at a place called the Diana Banks and came back with this catch - 11 wahoo and 2 dolphin/dorado/mahi-mahi. I got a few wahoo fillets out of the deal.
Note the wahoo lying on the dock with it's tail missing. That is a constant threat when fishing down there... sharks are drawn in by the commotion of fighting and landing fish - I lost as many as I landed on many fishing days there.
Here is mine.
This 6 pounder isn't my PB but I caught it about 30 seconds after my Ned-rig-hating friend declared that Ned doesn't produce big fish. He was at BPS the next day buying Ned rig tackle.

reminds me of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGz-NIBZwEw
This is my new PB. Got her in Virginia at 730 am, it was 40 degrees out, and the water was misty/foggy because water temps were warmer than outside... Tossed the topwater frog out by a stump and she came ALL THE WAY out of the water and inhaled the frog. Insane fight. You can see how happy I am. I left my scale in the truck, but she measured 24 3/4" long. A Virginia citation in length (state is 22" or 8 pounds). My previous PB was this July, weighing 6.10. This fish was far longer and heavier. Amazing fish. Tight LINES!!!!!!!!
I have quite few favorites, but this is my latest "favorite" fishing picture. My 3 year old with her first musky...
This is my all time favorite because it represents the culmination of 15-20 years of chasing a dream.
My favorite fishng pictures aren't about big fish or about a big limit...they are about places and now and then about people fishing....
I took the picture below on the Bighorn River late one April day a few years back...
...end of the day, last day of the trip with good friends...I was waiting at the take out while the rest of the crew went to get the trucks so we could pull the drift boats and go eat, have a couple beers and tell lies...
the only noise was the river burbling along, and a couple pheasants cackling off in the distance.
Beautiful photo!
This is my most exotic fishing photo. This is a catfish caught in the Lufupu River in Kafue National Park, Zambia, Africa (the Lufupu is a tributary of the Kafue that joins just above our camp). I had the chance to go fishing for one of the three days we were at the safari camp in Zambia, so I took it. We caught several African Pike, similar to pickerel, but the guide and I both hooked one of these big cats. He said it was actually quite unusual to even see one cat on a 6 hour outing, so 2 was very rare. it was an interesting day, finding fish while keeping away from the hippos that were numerous in the river. This is the cat that the guide caught... unfortunately I didn't get a photo of mine, although it was virtually identical. The second photo is the sunset over the Kafue River that night after we got back to camp.
This is probably my favorite fishing photo. It’s of my oldest daughter with her limit of salmon, her grandfather (my dad), and me after our salmon fishing trip to the Farallon Islands, which are located about 26 miles west of the Golden Gate Bridge. Our first salmon trip together was when my daughter was 10 years old and she also caught her limit. I am glad for the memories of this day as two weeks after this photo was taken my dad died of leukemia.
My grandpa on the left and old man Sims . Grandpa use to come and get me before the sun rose and we would sit on the bank of the Mississippi trying for a carp or channel cat . I dont remember ever catching a fish but I remember eating cinnamon rolls .

Check out those old rods/reels! That's awesome. I still have some of my grandpa's gear just like that. Awesome photo!

I bet those things were a booger to cast .
This is easily my favorite, great background and my personal best at 7 - 4.
This one
Same river different seasons .
Here's just a few.
This was my first rainbow trout. "Yes, I'm aware i'm not holding my rod right."
My sisters first rainbow trout, You can see how happy it made her to catch one as well.
My other sister's first time catching her first fish.
Here's one of my sister catching her first large mouth.
Sister trying to get a rainbow trout.
And now what others would like to see.
My wife took this one of me showing my 8 year old the finer points of frogging this summer.
My PB. It was quite unexpected that particular day:
This Is a memory I will never forget. Big Nate(grandson) was on fire and his unbridled enthusiasm was a real joy to see/watch.

That's the kind of stuff I learned on. My grandpa taught me how to throw a baitcaster in the driveway on a fishing rod made of stainless steel. And to think fishing rods weigh ounces today. I have a Silaflex rod from the 40's or 50's that belonged to my grandpa. I believe they were the original fiberglass rods. My mother and grandmother bought it for him as a gift and paid $100 back then.
As far as favorite pics, I have 2. My deceased mentally handicapped brother fishing with some guy wearing a Tennessee hat and the other of my grandfather on Lake of the Woods.
Almost forgot. Love this pic of @Fishing Rhino on his lobster boat
This was a great day!
This is an image of my son and daughter float fishing for blue gill. They're wading about knee deep placing floats along the edge of the foliage a few years ago. This is one of my favorite fishing related photos ever.
They've both become pretty good anglers better than their old man. My daughter's tactile senses are superb and she's been like that since day one. An ugly stik would be sensitive in her hands. She'd always say, "I got one!" before I even see the line move and as she instinctively sets the hook, much akin to when Bill Dance hooks into one and smiles toward the camera as he sets the hook. Hard to believe my daughter turned 18 last month. My son is no slouch either and isn't too far behind with regard to bite detection or natural fish catching abilities. Also, I consider it a huge success when they out-fish me.
Although you can't see their faces, the focus they had was pretty intense on catching 'dem gills, lol.
My Mrs on her first cast on the old boat.
I dont have any old pics on my phone so these 3 are all from the last year or two. The first is my G- daughter ,
The second is the 5th biggest bass Ive ever caught.
The third was almost my pb. ( 2nd biggest )
A 34 pound limit on Clearlake
Buddy caught me right outta the tent for a few casts before breakfast. Love camping at this spot on the Upper Potomac.
And a runner up. Picture doesn’t do it justice.
Another one of my favorites. one of My best friends and I share a birthday so we decided to go out on our birthday and try to shoot some fish. We shot 108 total. 75 pictured. We had my old chevy pictured loaded down so much it was squatting. We estimate around half a ton of fish. Still our best day bowfishing as far as numbers go.
most recent is me and my grandson in the little jonny
Fishing off the coast of Brookings, Oregon with a whale surfacing in the background.
Anytime I get to go see my grandsons and take them fishing is a great time. This is Eli and Payton on Clearlake a couple years ago.
Now this may surprise some of you, but this isn't a picture of me personally, but I love it because these two young ladies took time away from their phones and social media to try and learn to fish! Although, I think the one needs a bit more practice on her overhead cast...
I absolutely love these three:
This one all the credits go to my Mrs who was in the shore waiting for us.
This one was taken by me at the end of a carpfishing session.
And finally this one was probably the most beautiful sunrise that i haver seen in my home lake with the pink sky and mist in the water...
Here's a pic of my son and grandson from this fall....hopefully now I can post in better timing. This was a good day....grandsons fish was pushing three and he was stoked!!! Oh...and he love's beating his dad.
Foggy morning about a month ago. Had to use GPS to find my spot. It was a unique experience sitting out there feeling completely separated from everything. Very peaceful, and a little eerie. It stayed like this for about two hours and almost at once, it was gone.
Should have taken a pic when the small bass was still on other treble hook.
Dude how did you remove the hook?
On 1/24/2018 at 5:28 AM, LionHeart said:Dude how did you remove the hook?
Needle nose pliers and a lot of grunting. Tried to take it out while out in the boat but couldn't, so I cut the line, drove the boat back home, washed it real good, got the pliers and held the treble hook while I pushed my finger off. First...and hopefully last time I have to do that. Lot easier unhooking fish... and less painful.
I would totally rip that out for you
As a friend haha
Of the pictures in my phone, two stand out in my mind. First is my old PB, and one of my first swimbait fish. Caught in January, it was also the first time I had to knock ice off my rod guides. Suffice to say, I became a believer in chasing trophy sized bass during winter.
The second, is a flounder from summer '17. The fish completed my first solo inshore slam (Trout, Redfish, Flounder). I just think it's a cool picture...
This happened Monday, in Virginia. 3rd straight warming trend day after a ton of cold weather. Same fish, 2 pics. 24" 9.3 pound Florida strain STUD. My PB and most exciting fight in my 1 1/2 years of bass fishing. Underspin jig head with a 3.8" swim bait with boot tail. Still in shock! Tight lines.
More proud of this pic than i am of my PB. It was my 5 year olds first bass to cast and land himself.
