What is your favorite buzzbait brand, color, and size?
Nothing like a good ole' 1/2 black cavitron IMO.

Yeppers! I have a white one as well but Black on Black is deadly at dusk.

Cavitron dosnnt come in a 1/2oz. I believe you meant 3/8 oz. But you were correct on the black on black and that Cavitron are the best
3/8 oz. yes sir thank you.
I bought a Cavitron buzzbait last year at the SC sportsman show. When i asked which one i should get the guy said"can't go wrong with chartreuse". The first time i threw it i caught a 3lber. So I'm gonna x3 the Cavitron but go with the chartreuse.
I've done best with the white cavitron w/ gold blade.
3/8 Cavitron Black skirt and red blade
Cavitron 3/8 oz, black with red blades, but all the colors work.
3/8 oz. Cavitron, black on black
8-)
3/8 Cavitron, red/black, black/black.
I picked up 1/8 oz versions by Strike King and Booyah. I've read that that the smaller ones can actually outfish the larger ones at times. I stuck with solid black and solid white. We'll see which brand sticks more fish.
Topwater crush on ultra light....can't wait
I'm gonna have to say the cavitron as well. Many of the colors have produced for me.
Another vote for Cavitron. The 3/8 oz black blade on black skirt is my go-to, but I've had a lot of fun with red on black, gold on white, and gold on Secret Weapon Lures gold shiner skirt.
I also use the subtle 1/8 oz Strike King Mini Buzz, usually with the blades bent forward so I can slow the retrieve down. It works well after a small cold front slows down a hot bite. It's also a good option as a follow up bait after you've fished a stretch with a big buzzer. Plus, it's a fantastic river smallie lure.
Haven't tried a cavitron, looks like I need too. I've done really well with a black War Eagle 1/4 oz and a homemade 3/8 white head, white painted blade, and a clear skirt with silver sparkle, they tear it up in clear water.

You should deff. pick 1 or 2 or 3 up..... ;D
Even he can catch a 7 lbr- This kid is 5'11" and 280 -that fish was weighed at exactly 7 lbs on a cullum rite on a white 3/8 cavitron
Even this guy can catch
I have done very well w/ a black 3/8 Terminator. I'm gonna have to pick up some Cavitrons.
Cavitron black skirt red blades even catches catfish at night
LOL Thats a first

I've caught a few cats on cranks and spoons, but NEVER a buzzbait...wow.
Advice on Cavitron maintenance:
Your lure is going to get beat up, twisted and
bent. Bend it back into shape and keep fishing.
The worse it looks, the better it fishes!

3/8 Vision Lures Honeybuzz with black skirt, silver blade, & rusted rivet.
Like I tell everyone-"Use what you have confidence with" thats better than any brand on the market
I always night fish in the summer with black buzz baits. I mainly used Strike Kings Bleeding Buzz Bait but I will buy me some Cavitrons after reading this. I catch a lot of Catfish while bass fishing at night. It really ticks me off. I can't really see much and all I hear is a huge splash. My heart gets pumpin on the strike and then I get disappointed once I find out its another cat. I usually catch them in the 5-10lb range and they do fight. I got to where if I get a huge strike at night I will tell myself "probably another catfish" just to ease the disappointment. They also like them some black jitterbugs at night.
I have never ever caught a cat on a buzzbait-
I just got cavitrons on a ebay bid at the end of last years fishing season i changed the skirts one to a bluegill and caught a few but this was when the buzz bait bite was dead on our lake late in the season. I also made a sexy shad chartruese color as well looks sweet but havent tried it yet. Ive had my best buzzbait fish last year on a bleeding chartreuse and white clacker 3.8lb smally.
Water temp 55* and up.
White Cavitron.
Black Cavitron.
Thats all, folks.
One day I would like to try this fishing thing everyone keeps talking about.

They used to, I have two that I bought in '09.
Oh, and Ghost Minnow with Red Blade and Gold Blade with White/Chart skirt.
I use home made ones that I make, I might have to get some cavitron's though! white, black, and chartruse.
Jim
another vote for Cavitron, most of my buzzbait bass was caught on 3/8 Ghost minnow with gold blade.

Oh yeah, black cavitron at night!
