I bought the bass pro brand backpack last year and it has run out of space. I would like a new one with tons of storage for TWH Black Friday. I would like it if it held 3700 boxes instead of 3600. I also have bags of soft plastics that don’t fit in mine right now. Any favorites or recommendations?
Never heard of a 2700 box, but I'd recommend the new Plano Z-Series backpack. It comes with four 3700 boxes.
I own the flambeau ritual 5 backpack... no complaints aside from spinner bait storage.

Do you care if the 3700's are stored flat, or upright in the backpack? If you want flat storage, your options are limited.
I bought both the Daiwa Tactical Backpack which stores 3600's flat, and the Okuma Nomad which stores 3700's flat. I ultimately stuck with the Daiwa. It has plenty of storage even with 3600's and does not feel overly heavy when loaded. The Okuma was just so heavy when loaded.
I really don’t care which way they are stored but I really would like it if it had some sort of soft plastic storage.
thanks guys!
Are you using the backpack for bank fishing, and will therefore be wearing it a lot? If so, I'd actually consider bringing less gear as opposed to buying a pack that holds more. Around 5 years ago I decided I needed a bigger pack and got one of those fancy wild river ones so I could carry more stuff with me. I loved it at first but after a while I came to realize I was just limiting my mobility with a heavy, packed to the brim backpack, and wasn't using most of the stuff in it anyway. Nowadays, I stick with a smaller hip/sling type bag with a couple Plano boxes/plastics bags of what I'll need for the day, but of course with some backups in the car.
Sorry, this probably wasn't what you wanted to hear...
I am a bank fisherman who bikes to my local ponds. I will also become a belly boater this spring.
I have the blue bps backpack. It hold 7 3600 series’s and 2 Plano 4”x9” about 20 bags of plastics and compartments for other stuff. It’s to heavy. With this one you can unzip the bottom half and take 4 3600’s and some other stuff. I thought it was gonna be great but it really is to heavy to leave it on and fish on the go. The bottom half is fine to take what you need with the rest In the truck.
If you need a bigger backpack to bank fish ponds, you are trying to carry way too much stuff.
I know the one I have is too big and heavy for the amount from storage it offers. Also this will be my big bag- my mothership for tackle. I have a small day pack that is ultra light and can fit one 3600 box and I use the bottle holders for two rod holders. I also will be able to take it off while fishing.
Thanks.
That belly boat ain't gonna float if you carry too much stuff.
I use the Shimano Blackmon backpack and love it. It is only 3650 boxes though.
Yeah for belly boating I’ll only take one 360 box and a few bags.
I’m a bank yanker, and after going through many tackle bags, have settled on the smallest one dsg carries, just a cheap field and stream shoulder bag, holds two small Plano boxes and some plastics, it’s got one of each lure in it, one buzzbait, one spook etc, so no color selection to get carried away with. Some of my best days fishing have been when I forgot something “ I needed” in my truck, i’ve Found the excessive amount of tackle I used to bring was just a distraction and an encumberance.
That said, the black and white digital camo Daiwa bag feels skookum as frig when I checked it out in the store lol. Like leaps and bounds nicer than the spider wire or Shimano backpacks they had available. It’s like $120 bucks though I think. I’d get another rod personally...
What about something like this? There are hundreds of options in these tactical style backpacks. With the Molle straps you can attach all your tools so they are easily accessible or add different pouches and such that have Molle clips. They are cheaper than " tackle backpacks" I think 35L is the size of your basic school back pack and that should be able to hold at least 3 plano boxes.
Holy crap!! That looks a tad to big but not a bad idea.
I have settled on the angler backpack by tackle warehouse for Black Friday- I have a list of gear for Black Friday.

What he said. I got an orange Plano Z-Series backpack and it has made toating tackle much easier as co-angler and going to the pond. I am able to fit 2 smaller 3600 boxes with the 4 3700 boxes it comes with. It’s also water proof and has no zippers (that usually corrode).
Ya, I like the Z-Series backpack. They really put some thought into the design on this one.

It is really just a standard size backpack. Fits about 4 clear plastic full size cases. It just looks big because of the side pouches but they come off. That is the beauty of the MOLLE straps, you can add almost anything to this bag and the internet is loaded with MOLLE accessories.

Instead of trying to cram a bunch of packages in my bag, I use 2 3600 boxes, and empty out my soft plastics into them, using dividers to separate as needed.
Occasionally I’ll have to mix a couple different colors or sizes together, but overall it’s pretty organized. Plus it’s easy to keep inventory.
I HIGHLY recommend buying a real backpack that fits a few tackle boxes and has a few pockets. I was looking for a "fishing backpack" and the quality is terrible!!!! I wouldn't touch the TW pack you mention.....it's garbage. Try this....it will last forever and it's on sale. Bean25 will get ya 25% off.

Also, as said above you don't need to bring a lot of gear. Pack lightly...cover water.
TW bag is a good bag I’ve had one for a couple of years now and it’s held up well it’s starting to tear up but it’s my fault. I got it for 40 bucks on Black Friday about three years ago. I recommend. Still use this bag holds a ton of tackle.
This bag looks pretty sweet https://www.amazon.com/KastKing-Pond-Hopper-Sling-Tackle/dp/B07F2FL9W1
I very much agree with @Deeare, most any store-brand hiking day pack (assuming it is loaded and adjusted correctly) is going to be far more confotable then any “fishing” pack I have gotten my hands on.
There are some amazing sling packs made for flyfishing and if one can limit the tackle one carries then they are a great choice. I have a FishPond one and it holds a single 3600 or a pair of 3500’s with enough room left over for a bag or two of plastics and a few comfort/safety essentials. But when I need to carry more then that one of my hiking packs get the nod.

I have this backpack, and it works pretty well. I've got three 3700 boxes and a terminal tackle box from Plano in it. I keep a separate soft plastic bag and just throw in what I need when I go out. It holds all of the tackle I have (I don't have much) and it stays in my car at all times.

While I don't think the TW bag is trash, I would agree that a regular backpack it better. There is a level of convenience with the bag being designed to hold tackle, but I have an REI daypack that also stays in my car for different things and I have put that on after wearing the TW bag to move from fishing a stream to a little light hiking and the difference was astounding. The weights were similar, but the padding and distribution was leaps and bounds beyond what the TW bag has.
Long story short, if you plan on actually using the backpack as intended and wearing it a lot, better to go with a pack made for hiking and transform it into your tackle bag.

TW Backpack holds a ton of gear three 3700 and one 3600
also comes with many compartments fishing the bank with it works great or throwing it on the back of a kayak works great but hiking well it’s a little clumsy for hiking. When river fishing or hiking it’s best to back as minimal as possible you don’t want to take everything and the kitchen sink with you.
