During my years of Bass fishing, I discovered by painting the Rattle Trap entirely Pink hooks and all that Hog Bass are attracted to that. They love pink and I caught plenty of Bass with it. I also have caught 13 lb. Bass on solid Purple Traps. I love experimenting because Bass virtually hit anything, but sometimes they prefer your new development.
IBTL haha just kidding, I had a pink rattletrap that I caught a handful of bass on but Mr. Chainpickerel stole it from me...
I've never used one but hey: pink super flukes and trick worms are great, why not Rat'LTraps?
Let me say that there's no such thing as "pink" in bass fishing, the correct term is ------> bubblegum.
I bet all the male BASS hit on them.

No self respecting male bass is gonna hit a girly colored bait.

Hey I love the Pink!!

I don't want the males to hit, I want the BIG MOMMAS! Pink is traditionally known as a "feminine" color, so why not? And like Raul, when I'm in the sporting goods store, I'll ask for "bubblegum" color. ;-)

Pink tubes work for me when the bite is tough so why not. Sorry bubblegum. If you fish where the fish are you have a better chance of them hitting any color combination. I have caught all of my 13lb. Bass on a pink hulla popper dropshotted in 30 feet of water. Dang it! I almost got through it!
Okay.
Am I the only one here who knows enough Spanish to know that "Rosado" is pink in Spanish, therefore meaning our dear Aldo has quite the eye for irony.

And am I the only one here wondering if we are witnessing some performance art?

I'm going to fish pink rattle traps exclusively now for the rest of the year and see what happens, apparently there's a couple 13 pounders at my local holes waiting for it!
Won a major tournament on pink & chartreuse skirted spinner bait.
Caught many a bass on bubblegum, merthiolate, & banana worms
I got junebug colored traps!
Solid hot pink is a fairly popular color in Japan.

I doubt you know more Spanish than I do. Rosa is the appropiate translation for pink, the appropiate transaltion for rosado is pinkish or pink tint, of course, if you change just one letter, z instead of s you en up with something quite different, rozado may mean rubbed or skin burned, so it's Mr. Aldo Diaper Buttskinburn for all you bunch of ignorant rednecks ( myself included in that charmin group of people )

Nicely done.
I make a pink and chartreuse bladed jig that works really well at certain times. Haven't found any 13 pounders with it yet though.

!Creo que debes cerrar tu boca Raul! haha just kiddin
running to the beauty store now for pink nail polish.... got a lot of hooks to paint pink!
I have a rattle trap to paint but dont know if I should color it pink or purple . Bass fishing is hard .
This is breast cancer awareness month so I guess pink , to show my support .
The big bass-the ones that like to overindulge-are looking for some relief in the form of pepto-bismol. THAT is why pink works.

It would seem I may have to try this
I have a pink I-Slide 185 on the way from Japan. I used to catch a lot of fish on the pink floating worms. The 185 should be easy to see for sure!! LOL
Love me some translucent pink worms for the finesse game!
Used to throw pink x-raps and bandit crankbaits at a local lake and caught quite a few fish with them so rattle traps are no suprise.

Depending on your meaning for traditional this isn't exactly true. Pink "originally" didn't have any gender ties. It was in the early 1900's that people started associating colors with genders. At that point they were pushing blue for girls and pink for boys.
Here is a link that discusses it:

I personally prefer to rub Louis Vuitton essence on my baits to attract the big mommas. you wouldn't believe the results that gets me.
During a bass feeding frenzy full moon with a front(rain) I caught 19 bass skip fan casting the area. I also caught two pink n white looking sunfish, weird. I had custom made crankbaits in that color. They were big and two toned. Someone released there pet.

The recent LTB had a bag of Hot Pick and white tubes in it. When I saw them I though to my self.... Where the heck am I going to use these?
The answer was simple.. I won't...
I think "bubble gum" still sounds too squirrely girly. I think pink plastics should be called "Gorilla Tongue" instead.
or go technical and call it "light red"
Pink works very well in tannic water. Ime.
Just in case you missed it. It's officially called Cotton Candy Craw!
And it really catches fish!
Tom
^^ that thing is so bright i just lost my eyesight for a minute....
Its been a year. Did anyone try pink Traps ?
I use Bubblegum Senkos all the time. One of my go to's. I don't care if the bait looks like the Village People...if it catches bass, I'm using it
