The hits didn't look particularly vicious. It was almost as if the bass didn't want to eat it but instead were just curious about what the heck it was.

Oh those hits were LMB at there best. Pure stealth. The biggest fish in Cali stalk topwater baits and slurp them rather than crush them. This bait is gonna get bit in a bad way, but I agree with Hawk about it's durability. I will just have to get one and see 8-)

On the Frog Ltd. website the bait is sold out. A friend of mine speaks japanese and got a few of these baits. He sent me one to try out. I have no idea how much he paid for them. The bait is built alot more solid than it looks and does get the attention of the fish. Unfortunately the topwater bite ist non-exitent around here at the moment and I couldn't catch anything with it yesterday. A 4lber. did come look at the bait but then turned away.

20 years ago there was a bait called a power pack. Sold first at all the shows and then at every Kmart and Walmart. Pure gimmick at the time. A friend bought three. Never caught a fish. $7 each, 20 years ago. He still has them. Came in fish and frog. Kicking tail or kicking legs.
