Just curious what everyones favorite bait to pitch, flip ,punch mats etc. could be long time favorite or even a new bait ur dying to try this season
yum vibra king tube on pegged weight
It's between the Strike King Game Hawg and Strike King Rage Craw
Rodent is working its way to the top though
just picked up yum mighty bug and big bites fighting frog cant wait to see what those two do
Chigger and Rage Craw, I'll also flip a Smokin' Rooster. I just freakin' love the Rage products.
Flipping = zoom ultra vibe craw
Pitching = jig & pig or a zoom super vibe craw
I like pitching chigger craws and small finesse jigs. really wanna try the havoc pit boss
brush hoggggg
another fan of the game hog. its gotta little bit bigger profile than zooms brushhog. if you find their appendages stick too much to the cover on its way down, then a zoom grass craw or even a grass jig will get you through there
Beaver, tube, big jig.
I like the YUM Souie.
lake fork creature, rage smokin rooster, beaver or lake fork craw tube.
I like the YUM Wooly Bug for flipping. I like a baby brush hog or jig for pitching.
Jig or a beaver are my 2 favorites.
SJ
im a big fan of bps beaver or kvds coffee bug i think the scent helps a little and also the classic jig and pig prefer the bps enticer jig even more so my home made jigs i just started to make.
Yum wooly bug and rage craws
Best bait last year was the Space Monkey followed by the Smokin' Rooster. There were a lot of instances I flipped the LFT Craw tube as well.
1. Rage Craw
2. LFT Craw Tube
3. Zoom Brushhog
4. LFT Hyper Freak
5. BBB Yo Momma
I like to use a flipping tube, sweetbeaver, or paddletail to punch weed mats.
Line: 65 lbs braid
Hook: Mustad Denny Brauer Straight Shank Flipping Hook
Weight: Tungsten ¾ - 1 ½
Rage Tail Smokin' Rooster: Black Blue & Okeechobee Craw
Rage Tail Space Monkey: Okeechobee Craw & Double Header
Rage Tail Lobster: Falcon Lake Craw, Double Header, or Watermelon Neon
Gene Larew 5 ½ or 6” Hawg Craw: Black Neon & Junebug Blue Claw
Stanley Y-NOT: Black Blue & Black Neon
Stanley ItzaBug: Black Blue & Ruby Red
Other: Terry Oldham Eye Max Jigs & Texas rigged jigs
black/blue brush hog
Either a jig with an action trailer or a Texas rigged tube. Also, the Rage Tail Anaconda really started to grow on me as a flipping bait last year.
Netbait Craw, love the action of the legs and its the perfect size
R.I. smallie and sweet beaver and an outlaw(shooter) jig.
I like the Megastrike Megabug in blue/black
You asked for my favorite, not all the ones I use. My favored bait is the basic tube.
If the bass are more active, then I'll flip a variety of RageTail plastics.
Not to hijack, but Catt I love that Denny Brauer hook as well, but cannot find it anymore, where are you getting it?
Tube, Beaver and Rage products.

Tackle Warehouse still has them. I'm a huge fan of that hook, too, but have switched to the Twist-Lock or Gamakatsu Heavy Cover.
Black and Blue jig with a Blue trailer. Trailer is usually a rage craw or lobster. Black and Blue cannot be beat!

Good point, in that case, you just can't beat black and blue!

right on the money. I found that PB+J is best in clear lakes, and black and blue is best in stained.

Yamamoto Kreature and Baby Brush Hog.
1.brush hog/ game hawg
2. yum mighty bug
3. yum doozee
1) Zoom super speed craw
2) Strike King Rodent
3) 7in Power worm
i thought power worms were to thin to flip. what size weight do you use for it?
Pegged: Bruiser Intruder
Unpegged: Space Monkey/Sweet Beaver (depends on desired fall rate)
Jig: Rage Chunk/Sweet Beaver (depends on desired fall rate)
