Anyone tried this reel? I keep seeing this on my facebook ads. It has 18 ball bearings lol. Only $39.99!? Why buy Shimano when you can get Shishamo? Just thought I'd share this humorous post.
Yep, playing off a good name and the ignorance that more bearings must mean it's a better reel.
Oh shish !!
I laugh at that every time I see it. 18 bearings...lol. They must just dump some garbage bearings inside the reel.
LOL! Things people make....
If you get one pair it with a G Loopis rod
I love the reviews on that site. 10/10 with all cap headlines on all of them.
How do you get 18 bearings in a reel...
4 in handle
1 under drive shaft
1 in level wind
2 spool
1 Cast control knob
1 pinion
1 AR
1 above AR below drag star

Thank you I'll be performing at the comedy club all weekend
There spinning reel has 121 ball bearings if you read the title. Must be a typo because the description says 13 but I thought it was funny when I read it

After Gery Loopis sold out to Shishamo I couldnt take them seriously anymore.
that site's using BPS icon too. 2legit4me
Did you see the weight? Those are some big bearings. 7.4oz
That is no light weight, fishing with a bowling ball anyone ???

Its got 10 magnetZ!!! MagnetZ are heavy!!!
Shishamwow!
That 10 degree magnetic brake system may be tricky to dial in. I guess I can look past this minor shortcoming since this reel has so many other high end features such as hydrographic printing. Hydrographic printing is important on a reel like this, as you would not want the prestigious Shiscambo name to wear off.
is this some sort of weird joke?. shishamo?? lol !!!!. sadly if its for real theyll end up selling a ton of these. guys be like "18 bearings!!!! omg!!!"
funny, but not funny. it's part of the reason the actual shimano costs so freakin much.... they have to have pay lawyers to go after idiots like these....

So we need to order now before they get closed down.
I used to install car stereos and alarms and people would come in and have issues with systems that they put in themselves with flea market crap. Here's some brands I remember off hand that looked almost identical to the real one.
Rockford Fosgate > Rockwood Fosgate
Kenwood > Kenford
Sony > Fony (irony.... Lol)
Alpine > Albine
Smfh
at least this company played with the Japanese name for types of sushi, Shashimi, seeing as how it is fishing related....
18 bearings for $40, that's a steal!
That's a joke! I better get a Phenix k2 to go with it.
it looks like an abu revo premier too
Typical China copy cat. Believe it or not, fleebay is flooding with these "$40" reels and people are buying them.
With 18 bearings i picture opening it up and its just filled with loose bearings..nothing else.

LOL picturing a gumball machine with the crank handle....
Haters...

Amen. I'll buy this before that Malaysian made junk shimano tries to call a reel.
It's fairly new cutting edge technology where they bearings have bearings. I bet the box lid hinges on bearings too.
OK,.. For the heck of it, I ordered 2 different kinds of reels out of China to put them through the test. One is the higher level Shishamo. (Not the red one-- mine is black carbon)
I am about to go put some line on these and put them through the tests. Will share updates. The drag tension max seems to be the biggest difference comparing it to, say a Revo.
I would have attached pictures to this post, but image size is too big for this forum allowance.
Update.. spooled 15 lb line and tied on a 1/4 Oz trap. The reel is only 1/2 Oz more than revo, so not noticeable while using.
A slight flick of the wrist, and it casts a mile. Actually caught a 2 lber while testing. No issues reeling under pressure.
Slight gear chatter when putting the whip to it trying to see how far this thing casts. No big deal.
So my summary.. reel feels good. . Casts farther than my revo, and had no complaints. I just will have to see how long it holds up. It may fall apart tomorrow, or go for a while. Well see.
@ckelly I am really debating buying 1 of these. I mean worse case im out $40 bucks and if its a good reel and last long and catches fish, then what a steal!

What is gear chatter? There aren't any gears engaged when casting a typical baitcast reel. So, what is chattering?

That's the sound of Mr. Shishamo's teeth; as he's laughing so hard on the way to the bank....unless its all those bearings rattling around in there
Lol at 18 bearings.
Do they just open up the side plate and dump bearings in like they're loading a Red Ryder BB gun?
Let's see....
4 on the knobs
3 on the drive shaft (frame, side plate, and AR)
3 on the spool (palm side, frame, behind the engage pin, below the tension cap)
2 on the worm gear
You could possible double up on the spool, so that's two more.
Another for to align the pinion when engaged.
That gets me to 15. I'm lost on the rest.
Maybe the put a couple redundant AR bearings in there in hopes that at least one of them catches?
AR bearings are pretty bulky. I doubt it.

They send you 3 more in a bag so you can put them in your pocket when you fish.
Are they lucky bearings? I'll take all the help I can get!
New reel $200
annual cleaning $30 x 5 yrs $150
used price $125
Cost of ownership $225 or $45 year. $5/yr saving and a better reel.
Suurrree.....but does that $200 reel come with 18 bearings?!?!?! I think not.
And scene...
