Finally got here as I finally snagged this Limited steez...
Man its a sick reel and I cant wait to use the 8.1.1 for pitching jigs...
Going to be paired up with my DX745 and 20-25lb Abrazx or Tatsu...
I swapped out the Black knobs for some corks just to see how they looked...
I might be upgrading the spool bearings to BOCA ABEC 9s....
Oh My God, Trey!
My dream rig - Steetz rod and reel for jig fishing.
Probably set you back close to $1,500 if not more.
Congrats.
May you have many hours of fun and some wonderful memories with your new setup.
Sweet reel
Nice!

Miserable cold here in Cincinnati too. Supposed to get 5 below zero tonight.
Sweet
Hey, it´s got the handle on the wrong side !
Nice combo for you..congrats.
However the handle is on the wrong side and since I love Shimanos...the reel is all wrong too.
Nice combo. I can't imagine owning a 1500 dollar combo. I'd be afraid to take it out.
Lovin' the new reel just can't say the same for those corks you threw on it.
It wasnt 1500$....dont know where that came from...lol
I say it's on the correct side . Beautiful.
Gorgeous! But yeah, handle on wrong side...
Very nice ... handle looks perfect to me
Oh I'm jealous. I'd take it handle either side! That's a beaut.
Great looking combo,Trey.
Some of y'all might need to brush up on your math skills though haha

Yep - it ain't a genuine fishing combo until the plastic wrap and labels are removed, line is on the reel, and its been on the water and got slimed up a bit...
NICE looking reel for sure though!
You can buy the combo for roughly $800.On 1/8/2015 at 2:25 AM, Senko lover said:Nice combo. I can't imagine owning a 1500 dollar combo. I'd be afraid to take it out.

Beautiful reel!

I just want to say that the last time I posted about a reel that I had with ABEC 9 bearings I had multiple people respond and PM me saying that they couldn't be real ABEC 9 bearings cause they should have been a lot more expensive. I had Dan at ReelEx put mine in and he is very reputable. I'm just surprised no one has stoned you yet for mentioning them in your first post. Because supposedly, they can't help any more than ABEC 5 bearings do. Or that's what I was told.
The abec 9s are 100$ retail...Ive got 3 sets in different reels, but yea you cant really tell the difference..
I use to have a set of FULL ceramics and they were about 200$ or so retail...stupid fast, but loud as hell and again not much gains, but I get bearings from all over to try out..
Don't think a bearing swap is going to do much for you. A faster spool like the steez 103 will do the most for piching. I love my steez reels!!!

this is not a 103 as it has the SV spool which is a much better spool and is the 105 flat spool...
Bearings are just because...
Haha that guy doesn't know about your 'problem'
Saw on TT that you dislike the 103. I have 100's and want to roll a 103 spool for a bit to compare to the new sv spools. The 103 is supposed to be a love hate thing.
I actually couldnt stand the 103....A bearing upgrade did help the consistency though with casting and pitching... I was a tad hesitant getting the New steez, but so far it seems MUCH better..

Those SV spools are exactly as advertised, stress free and versatile. The 103 is ok for pitching, but it's basically trash for most casting applications. If someone wants to upgrade a Steez, the RCS1016 is easily the best overall spool.
