KVD line conditioner 2024

fishing user avatarCastamasta reply :

what do you guys think of the KVD line conditioner??

fishing user avatarGatorbassman reply :

It is an amazing product. It does everything it says it does. I will never spool another reel without adding some Line and Lure to it. It saves me money buy helping my line last longer. It gives me longer casts and it doesn't leave that oily feel to my line.

I agree 100%.

fishing user avatarCastamasta reply :

it is ideal to spray it on right before a cast or would you want to apply it in advance? also is leaving it on overnight ok?

fishing user avatarGatorbassman reply :

It is totally different than the Reel Magic. I apply it to my bulk spools as soon as I get them. It is recomended that the first application to your line be done at least the night before. This gives it a chance to dry and bond to the line. Any application done after that can be done just before use.

fishing user avatardodgeguy reply :

the stuff is great.i apply a night before use.you don't need to spray it every use.it lasts a long time.

fishing user avatarMasshole Mike reply :

i was skeptical at first but this stuff is legit. all my reels are sprayed down with this stuff and all my bulk spools have been, as well.

like everyone else said, it doesn't leave any oily residue so you can spray it on right before a cast, but your best bet is to spray it on the night before so it can set in.

good stuff, i recommend it and a lot of other guys will, too.

fishing user avatarlubina reply :

I also apply it to the line guides when I clean my rods.

fishing user avatarfoul hooked reply :

Spray some on a rag and run your line through it when spooling up fresh line.

fishing user avatarroadwarrior reply :

Two thumbs up!

They're a bassresource.com sponsor, so they are easy to find.

I'm now a confirmed fan of this stuff. Just gave it a test over the weekend. I respooled all my reels, and treated half of them with KVD, and left the others untreated.

The difference was clear. Clear enough that I went home and treated all the rest.

All I did was hose down the spool, and let it dry overnight. Amazing stuff.

Try it, you'll like it. Just be sure to give it plenty of time to dry.

Cheers,

GK

fishing user avatarTokyo Tony reply :

Just ordered two bottles thanks to all the testimonials I've read on the site  :)

I use mostly braid, but will use the stuff on my UltraSoft setups.

Anyone use it with braid and notice a difference?

P.S. I also ordered two bottles of JJ's Magic  :(

P.P.S. I still think it's unbelievable how easy it is to order products online. We live in a good time  :)

fishing user avatarTahoeDust reply :

Sounds like a great product...I am going to have to give it a shot.

fishing user avatargabes reply :

fishing user avatarmattm reply :

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this stuff.  I had never heard one single person say anything negative about this product.  I'm talking hundreds all raving.  I was expecting a lot from it, and my expectations were not near high enough.  Unbelievable product.

fishing user avatarhdbass reply :

I use it on all my reels.  I spray it on the night before I go fishing it really seems to work

fishing user avatarparagon reply :

I put some on me patrners baitcaster before we got in the truck. Found him 2 hours later rummaging through my tackle, so he could spray his spinning gear. The stuff is great. It also has helped my 10 year old cut down on some of his tangles.

fishing user avatarwagn reply :

Is there any benefit to spraying it on braid?

I've been using it for awhile on my other set-ups and never thought to spray it on the braid. If it bonds with the line on mono, i question if it will it bond in the same way briaded line

fishing user avatarRob Faddis reply :

L&L will keep the braid's factory finish from wearing off 2-3 times longer. Line & Lure keeps water bourne dirt and silt from getting into the fibers of braid. These particles act like sandpaper on the line fibers as well as the rod guides and any other parts that the line might touch. The benifits of using it on braid are:

Longer line life (and rod guide)

Flatter lay on spool

Less line bury on the spool during a good fight

Major reduction in wind knots

Make sure you let the first application dry completely. I suggest treating to bulk spools when you buy them. Then their alteady treated when you spool up.

fishing user avatarRob Faddis reply :

Good question.  Glen never explained exactly how that works.  I have a call into him to get the formal take on it.  Be assured that we are keeping track of all sales through the promo code that must be used to get the special.

if your line has chalk then it's bad and you should chuck it.
