How Much Did You Spend At The Bass Pro Spring Classic? 2024

fishing user avatareyedabassman reply :

I held back this year and I only spent $ 240.00. Two reels, line, and plastic's that I don't need, hooks. I had to load up on them spin-shot hooks.

fishing user avatarHi Salenity reply :

Just over $100 unless I forgot about something .

fishing user avatarLgMouthGambler reply :

$50, of my own $, the rest was points and gift cards, so maybe $150?

fishing user avatarBrASSmonkey reply :

I spent $320 CDN for a 7:1 JM Carbonlite for my brother and a Daiwa T3 Ballistic HS for myself.

fishing user avatarBradH reply :

About $250?? JM carbonlite reel and 7' MH Crucial crank rod using the trade ins for both.

fishing user avatarJ Francho reply :

Something like $2K, but I bought a trolling motor, two rods, and four reels, as well as a bunch of baits.

fishing user avatar00 mod reply :

J what trolling motor did you end up with? Just curious!

Jeff

fishing user avatarJ Francho reply :

Same thing I already had, Maxxum 70. Actually have three of the things now, but only a back up and the new one work. Got it on sale for $759 and will get a $50 BPS card as a rebate, along with the points.

fishing user avatar00 mod reply :

Got ya!

I actually didn't spend a dime this year....there's a first for everything!

Jeff

fishing user avatarChiCityBasser reply :

I think I was close to $125, Pflueger Supreme XT, glass beads, havoc plastics, 1 KVD 1.0 to round things out. I got in on the reel trade in and had $50 in gift cards

fishing user avatarGoose52 reply :

$1111.14.

Two phone orders: first for 2 JM Carbonlite baitcasters witih price matching for the in-store sale price; second order for a Humminbird 798ci SI.

Still need a new TM battery and maybe another rod and then hopefully I can keep the bait monkey away 'till next winter...

fishing user avatarSoFlaBassAddict reply :

Much less than in years past at BPS. I think I spent roughly 200 bucks this year in the store. Was nice to see the Dania location selling some new products though. I buy the majority of my stuff online now from various other places.

fishing user avatarbuzzfrog reply :

650.00, then spend 100.00 at ganders sale, and rounded it abut 100.00 at dicks, but i had lots of coupons and certificates at dicks

fishing user avatarIma Bass Ninja reply :

$30. Everything I wanted was cheaper from local stores ( Walmart , academy, etc) than the stuff on sale at BPS. I was pretty disappointed. The biggest value that I saw were the bps line of reels but it wasn't one of the things I needed.

fishing user avatarscbassin reply :

I did not spend a thing. I very seldom buy anything from BPS anymore. Their C/C is thru Bank Of America & they are part of the finical problems we are having. It's called greed so BPS is off my list because of Bank of America. I did inform BPS of that & they chose not to respond.

fishing user avatarguitarkid reply :

$0.00

Paintball killed all fishing funds, but I did pick up an 07 vicious ego, an 08 etek with star frame, and a rotor.

That's cute. No really. It is.

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

Nothing for me, I don't drive all the way out to our regional BPS very much. I'll stop if we are in the area, but we were not this year.

fishing user avatarDaniel My Brother reply :

The wallet was willing, but I couldn't find a free day to make the 4 hour round trip.

fishing user avatarbuzzfrog reply :

I think I may have been to two of there classics since that store opened, once I made a special trip for, the other time to pick up my boat when I bought it, nothing to write home about then either. IDK if it's an individual store thing, or not. I love the BPS in Orlando LOL.

fishing user avatarKevinator1 reply :

Too much! $387.80. And another $168 from ***. Now time to use the stuff.

fishing user avatarMissouribassman95 reply :

About 40 bucks. But I went right after Christmas with all my gift cards and money and spent 256$.

Yeah, I spent a little over $2000 on plastics, Trokar and stuff that I can't get under other agreements.

fishing user avatarGone_Phishin reply :

I was pretty good: $20 of my own dough, and $25 from a gift card. I wasn't too impressed with this year's sales, and I was very disappointed with the vendors.

fishing user avatarjeb2 reply :

Not much. About $100. I went there all ready to buy another high end reel and/or rod. But the Springfield store had zero Calais DC, Steez's, MGX's, etc. Also had zero NRX or Steez rods. Very disappointing. I was already well stocked on lures, so just bought a few of the things they had on special. Some decent seminars by DeFoe and Evers, so the trip was still worthwhile.

LOL and I live near a BPS and Cabelas and made 2 trips to BPS during the classic and the wife never asked how much I spent at BPS, but each time I go to Cabelas she wants to go cause she likes the store and I can't make a trip without her to Cabelas.

fishing user avatarSirSnookalot reply :

Zero, didn't go. Wasn't worth 80 mile round trip for me, I didn't need anything that I can't buy around here for the same price.

fishing user avatarStasher1 reply :

$0

I've been building up my home gym for the past couple months, so that's where all of my extra money has been going. Heck, I even sold a couple rods, a few reels, and a couple guns to fund my new "project". I did hit Walmart this morning for a couple packs of Strike King tungsten worm weights, though.

fishing user avatarDiablos reply :

Just some 4stroke oil, lower unit oil, filter and some lures to the tune of $124

fishing user avatarroyal0014 reply :

$0.00

Did not see anything in the salepaper worth the 100+ mile trip. Haven't had time to fish anyway.

Still haven't gotten around to putting in a order at Northstar, either.

Work sucks......

That's a lot of plastics and hooks! I left down about $2400 but a huge chunk of that was a Merc 9.9 kicker for trolling.

fishing user avatarWookieeJedi reply :

Zero. I have been racking up Cabela's points with their credit card. When I get enough points, I just order from them. Even qualified for a black card the first year, but I use that thing for everything. BTW, they have their own bank issue the card, so if you have some hate for BoA, that's a good option. I still like BPS, but only buy from them when I am nearby already and have run out of speedcraws. Even then, I pay using my Cabela's card.

Oh there was a lot of other stuff in there, too. The majority was just that, though. Plastics and hooks. Probably around $1400 worth- I buy as much of my annual stock as I can at once, keep track of my inventory, and fill when necessary.

Absolutely. Blame people who have little financial means and political capital vs. the organizations who have created dark derivatives markets that are 100% unregulated, and sold known faulty bundles of mortgages to pension funds, etc. and then bet against them. Makes sense.

fishing user avatarpiscicidal reply :

I got two Chronarchs and two St Croix Avids. Total about $500, I guess. Really nice deals on the Chronarchs after the Shimano and BPS bonus bucks rebates. I went in with an arm full of old rods, intent on going hawg wild with the rod trade in. But I showed some restraint. The bait monkey was not pleased.

fishing user avatarjkarol24 reply :

$150 on a 3 bank charger. Walked directly to the charger and walked directly to check out. I have to put on blinders in there or else i WILL go broke...

I hear you there!

Cashier: "That'll be twelve-hundred-forty-three dollars and sixty-seven cents."

Me: "What the... I only came in here for an $800 trolling motor!"

fishing user avataroutdoorsman110 reply :

90$, I purchased an Ugly Stick Lite 7'0" 12-18lb medium action spinning rod as a back up for 40$, about 10 bomber cranks, 5 spinnerbaits, new line packs anddd that's it.

fishing user avatarcanyouheminow reply :

i spent around 454. two shimano sellus rods, a quantam kvd reel, a clamp on fish finder, and a bunch of the bps crankbaits that were on sale

fishing user avatartholmes reply :

$0.00, because the nearest BPS is three hours away, and I really don't need any tackle that I can't get locally

Tom

fishing user avatarKansasBassin reply :

Around 400?...quantum burner, mojo, lots of bps line, lots of titanium weights, xps tackle bag, and another couple 100 at cabelas today on boat stuff, new seat bases and posts. Starting to be a $$$ season and I haven't wet a line yet!
