Robert and I would like to announce that we are now selling our 102mm swept handle. You may have seen a few of these around...we've been selling some on pre-order basis. We now have our inventory and website complete so we are announcing the 102mm swept handle for general release.
This handle is longer, lighter (24grams!) and less bulky than the original 94mm long "Hawg Handle". We did not compromise strength, though...this handle retains the "zero flex" characteristic of the original Hawg Handle. Actually, we have a video of Robert running over the carbon fiber profile with his truck/boat and the handle doesn't budge (don't try this with your JDM handle!)
The new swept handle from Hawg Tech is now for sale on our website. Just go to https://www.hawgtech.com/category/hawg-handle and click your reel at the bottom of the page to get started. It is available in six anodized colors to match your rod and/or reel. These color options are now available on the website as pull down menu options.
As always, if you have any questions/comments send us a note at support@hawgtech.com.
Thanks!
Mike and Robert

That handle is sweet.

Will a handle for the 301E fit the 301D?
Any idea on a handle to fit the Daiwa Lexa 300L?
How about round reels like the Cardiff?
Sorry if the questions seem uninformed. I dont know much about them other than how to use them. LOL
Speedbead,
We definitely fit the Curado 300/301E and the Cardiff. We have not yet verified fit on the Lexa, but I am 99% certain we fit it. If you have a Lexa and would like to verify fit for us, we could probably work out a deal for you on a new swimbait handle...
I like deals and I just happen to like swimbaits.
I'll vouch for the quality. I own 6 or 7 of the original handles. My son said to me this past weekend "You have a lot of cork" I think cork looks classy.
Can y'all please make one with rubber handles?

The knobs posts accommodate standard Shimano knobs, so you can use your septon Power Grip knobs on the handle

As Bass Junkie noted...you can buy a handle without knobs ($49 straight/$59 swept) and put your Shimano knobs on the handle. We include everything needed to convert your stock Shimano handle to carbon fiber (bearings, mounting screws, retainers, end caps, etc...).
This is a very inexpensive way to experience the benefits that a carbon fiber/4X bearing handle can give you.

Sent a PM.
I'm down.
Got em and love em
I don't see the CI4 as an option. Is there another reel to select to get a handle that fits?

If you are referring to the new Shimano Chronarch CI4+, Shimano low profile reels from the 50 size footprint to at least the 200 size footprint all use the same drive shaft size, so you should have no issue finding one that fits
If they have one handle that fits a Shimano, then they pretty much have them all covered. Th differences lie in the cap nut, and whether you reuse it or substitute something else.
How about Pinnacle? This would really dress up an Opitma LTE nicely.

Would be interested in a handle for the Lexa 100, too. I imagine there'd be quite a savings in weight?
I'll be letting you all know very, very soon.

Curtis9,
Yes, just select Curado 200E7 and you will get the correct hardware kit. Or send me an email at support@hawgtech.com and I will get your order together manually.

Yes!
I have a Pinnacle Optimus LTE. I will try and take some pictures tonight with the new handle. Pretty sweet looking setup!
I will be getting 4 swept without knobs when I get the cash. Would it be possible for you guys to post a pic of the gold? This particular handle would be going on a Calcutta 100B. Thanks

Like I said, I haven't got my hands on a Lexa yet, but I would bet that we save a lot of weight. This new handle only weighs 24 grams (assembled, with cork knobs)
Send me a note at support@hawgtech.com. Let me know you're DarrenM from the forum. Thanks!

John,
I will try and put up a picture with a Calcutta later. I can tell you that the "light gold" matches the Calcutta perfectly! In fact, the color matching for our light gold anodizing was done using a Calcutta reel as the template.

Thank you
Here is my Chronarch D with the gold to match the spool...sweet setup with this handle...smooth as butter
Really enjoy the 102 Curved Handle on the following.......Conquest 300
Antares HG
Calais 200DC
Calais 200DC
Those handles look awesome! I'm going to have to get one or five.
Looking good guys!
Noticed on your website that two of the color selections are "Black/silver accents" and "Silver/silver accents". Do you offer both silver and black carbon-fiber handles?

Mike, thanks for the info. I might even be willing to part with my Lexa 100 for a short spell if you need to borrow one to "measure" and whatever.
Need to get permission from the BOSS of the checkbook before I take the plunge, but I'm VERY much ready to upgrade to your swept handle on my Lexa first, then my Chronarch 50e.

Fishwhittler,
No, we only carry black carbon fiber. Black/silver accents means black retainer and silver accent pieces (end caps, spindles, knob carrier).
The heading used to say "retainer color" and now it says "color" so I can see how that might be confusing. Looks like I need to take a look at that again.
Thanks!

The 94mm handle fits my Lexa 100 so I'd say it'll fit the 300 model also.
I did and it looks very good.
I ran into that thing we call "hunting season" and "winter" here in PA I'll get some pics for you guys. I'll even try and make them "artsy" for ya.
Should I go swept handle or straight? What is lexa100 weight with the 94mm?

The swept handle is lighter and better looking IMO. It looks great on my zillion and would look great on the lexa too.
The 94mm handle assembly with shimano power knobs only weighs a few grams less then the stock lexa 100 handle.

Shimano knobs on a Diawa! Say it isn't so. LOL

I'm not a fan of the hawgtech cork knobs. They seem very flat and feel funny to me. Your only other option is the shimano knobs. I wish they'd make handles with spindles that accepted daiwa knobs. I'm sure there is a market for it.

I thought that you were using the Shimano knobs cause of how great they are. Sorry! LOL

I like them on my handle for sure. It's way more comfortable then the cork ones.
My Crazy Cranker has the swept handle and shimano knobs. It is heaven lol. Best of both worlds.
These are sweet handles for sure! What a way to bling out your reel!
