Best Rods 99.99 And Under 2025

I did some forum searching, and didn't come up with any titles similar to this, so here it goes;
at this point in my life and fishing career, I don't like to spend a ton on my rods or reels. In your opinion, what is the best quality rod that can be had for 99.99 and under?
My vote for both casting and spinning goes to the Duckett ghost.
***** Just so you guys know, im not actually looking for a rod at the moment, Ive already developed my personal taste, Im just curious about everyone else.

you can get the BPS carbonlite for 89 right now.
they Cableas xz xl??? has good reviews too around the same price

That is because the other 221 threads all say "Best rod under $100." 
No experience with the Ghost, but of the rods I've tried (that listed for $99.99), my vote goes for the Fenwick HMG.

I have the ghost, the carbonlite, and cabellas tournemnt xz rod and I think the ghost is the nicest of the bunch. But on sale you can get the cabonlite and the xz for a lot less.
One that i keep looking at is Berkeley Emotion. just looking at it in the store it seems like a nice rod for the price.

Halo makes a few good rods under that price range. I picked up one of there Starlite and was surprised. I have also tried there daylight spinning rod and I liked it a lot. Can't beat it for the price.

Shimano Clarus ----> excellent rods for less than $100, I even have a couple for myself; and for a few bucks more Shimano Compre.

I had a ghost and liked it until about 12" snapped off on a hookset, after only 2 years. On the other hand, I have some bps rods that I have had for an eternity and have had no issues with, all under $100. I have a carbonlite from when they first came out, that gets my vote.

My current favorite rod is the white Carbonlite.
They pair great with my Chronarch 50e reels,
and on the spinning side, my Stradics.
A personal preference. I'm always open to a
different rod, so often put my hands on them
when in-store. But since money doesn't grow
on trees, I am satisfied with the CL rods...

Falcon Original Rods are priced at 99$ and have performed great for me. I would highly recommend them and they are still make in America! I've got an old one, have caught a ton of bass on it, and currently have two more on backorder from Tackle Warehouse.

Other than a Loomis spinnerbait rod(which I love) all of the rest of my rods are Powell Diesels and are a mix of the old and new model. All considerably cheaper than $100 and all fish above that pricepoint in my opinion. I absolutely love the Diesel. No need for a warranty if you don't mistreat your equipment. And big deal if my Diesel that I paid $50 for breaks...I get another, or two more. So far I've broken one rod in my entire life and that was in the bed of a truck, not boat flipping a 5 pounder or trying to jerk an entire tree from the bank to dislodge my bait.....LOL

I really do like the Veritas line. Have not tried the *** or Duckett's Ghost but have heard very good things about both,

I am a big (literally) fan of the Berkley Lightning Rod shocks. I have been fishing them for several years now. They are not as light or refined as the Vendetta's and Veritas's I have been using the last couple seasons, but when it comes to feeling bites, they hold their own with those rods. I have been on some kind of bizzaro, backwards gear quest the last few years, downgrading tackle to see how cost effective/cheap I can fish, and still fish at a level acceptable to me, and these rods (the LR shocks) have scratched me where I itch.

My most used rod for bass and peacocks, mine is the older style 6'6 med 6/12. Knowing what I have in my hand is of great importance to me, this rod does not fish like other mediums I have. It fishes more like a ml, IMO that's fine as long as I know what I'm dealing with, I have a lot of fun with it. Stepping up my game a little bit that Clarus doesn't cut it, it won't handle some of my other species or bass from thick cover.
Best is totally subjective, most of my rods are in the $100 range. My hands down favorite are Hurricane Redbones, in fact I use a light power and a 7' med 8/17 for bass fishing. I have 3 others I use for inshore fishing, casting distance is excellent and the backbone is there to handle most species. In addition I have both a 30# and a 40# Redbone boat rods for offshore fishing, I like them a lot too. Durability has been proven to me as well, all of my Redbones are between 5-10 years, never a problem with any of them.

I bought a Redbone based on the above gentleman's opinions. I like it a lot. Nice looking rod. Got mine at a small mom and pop store in Deland for $75. Can't beat that with a 10 foot stick.
It is a ML rated for 3/8-3/4 oz. Redbones are listed as saltwater rods. Thankfully freshwater fish don't know the difference. It and my Primmus will cast a 3/8 oz. popper like a bullet.

That is a great comment. I've kinda been doing the same thing with line. I'm experimenting with cheaper mono on all my reels now instead of spending 20$ every time I spool a reel.

Just got a Phenix Maxim for under 100 during memorial day sale on TW. LOVE IT!! May be my new favorite rod, and yes, I do have omens (they are awesome too).

IMHO, right now THESE are the best deal. However, otherwise I would go with the *** Black.
