Disney World Bass Fishing 2025

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

My wife, daughter, and I go to Disney World every year for a week. Usually fly down from NC for a week or two a year. This coming January we are taking my inlaws too. My father in law and I are doing the bass expedition there for the first time. It is $270 for the both of us for two hours. Includes all tackle, drinks and snacks, a guide (who is the boat driver) and we are on a Nitro. The boat literally picks us up outside if our resort room because we are staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter which is one of the pick up spots. Boat picks us up at 6:45 and we fish from 7-9.

:-)

Sounds like my idea of a Disney vacation right there. Have fun.

fishing user avatarFelix77 reply :

On my trip to Disney last year I took the ferry over to magic kingdom and I happened to see a bass boat in the water. He caught a big ol bass on a jig. He cheered and lifted it over his head like a championship belt. I was the only one in the boat cheering. Lol.

fishing user avatarAK-Jax86 reply :

I heard that is one of if not the best bass fishing spot in US. Figures because its Disney they hook it up! I will be doing this one day hopefully it's cheaper for FL residents :)

fishing user avatarmddrew88 reply :

You'll have to reply when you get back with what you caught. Bring a scale! I'm kinda curious, I've never heard of such.

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

Sure! I've been wanting to go for the past several years but I've never had another person that really wanted to go. My father in law and I fish a lot so he is excited too.

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

7a-9a. Morning fish. :-)

fishing user avatarMCS reply :

Cool man, I did that with my oldest son  a couple yrs ago. It is a good time. You both will have some fun.

Pulling a bass out in the middle of epcot is pretty crazy, you never look at the lakes the same.

fishing user avatarmddrew88 reply :

I heard its not uncommon to pull 8-10 # bass out of there, with the average being about 4-5 #. Yeah I'm jealous.

fishing user avataraquaholic reply :

I went back in the day but didnt know they had this available. We stayed at the wilderness lodge. It was pretty cool. Which i would of known they offered this though.

fishing user avatarDelaware Valley Tackle reply :

Sounds cool, but $270 for 2hrs?...ouch!

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

$270 covers two people. So for like 135 a person it is not bad. Considering all that we get.

fishing user avatarderekxec reply :

hope you catch a bunch :D my friend works at disney in the marketing dept. and he loves the fishing there

@DWT yeah even though is disney is pretty much the normal cost...most guides that i know of are charging around $450-500 for a 4 hour trip...but most guides will tell you its not just about going to catch some fish its about the whole experience whatever that means lol

fishing user avatarCrossK reply :

Sounds awesome! Any fishing in Florida is bound to be exciting :D

fishing user avatarFelix77 reply :

My 1st experience bassing on a boat was a charter on the St Lawrence. My guide was John Cox. Worth every penny of the $500 I spent that day. Trust me it was an experience. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for that.

:)

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

I will be on the Nitro with my MIckey ears.  LOL.................seriously........... :smile1:

fishing user avatarSam reply :

J, please let us know about the trip.

I also plan to fish the Disney lakes when we take the family down to Orlando when the two grandkids are "tall enough" for the rides.

I am extremely interested in the adventure and what you catch.

Thanks for sharing and be sure to follow up.

fishing user avatarChris at Tech reply :

I'm sure I will try to book a guide whenever I get down there with my kids, but $135 an hour is absolutely ridiculous. That's approaching offshore private fishing charter territory, only I understand why the saltwater trip would cost that much

In any event, I'm not trying to poo-poo on your party. I hope you catch them like crazy. And at that price they're charging, you better :)

It is $270 for two hours. Includes all of the goods for two people. So it's not too bad. It's Disney so it is a little high anyway. I've seen other bass trips for more thank that for two people. Plus it is cool to be fishing and still see the parks. ;-)

Just curious - but where besides Disney have you seen other guided bass trips priced at that level? I've fished with a fair amount of guides and typically see prices around $400 for 1-2 people for an 8-9 hr full day? And these guides also furnish whatever is needed (though I always bring my own stuff)

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

People say the price is high. However you have to keep in mind the scenery, pick up at your resort door, food, drink, guide, equipment, photo pass, tour of Bay Lake, provided equipment, and the fact that it is Disney. $270 for two hours for two people with all of this is reasonable.

fishing user avatarScott F reply :

It is Disney so you pay a premium for anything you do there. If you were trying to save money, you could stay and eat off the property for less than half of what they charge. I hired a guide to fish Lake Toho which is about 1/2 hour (?) from Disney in KIssimmee. Half day trip, all tackle included was $200.  Shiners extra.

fishing user avatarBassinLou reply :

I am excited for you. If you can afford it and you feel its fair considering the location that you are going to be fishing at, then, good for you and your family member. It will be a trip that you will talk about for years to come. Take pics and enjoy your trip.

fishing user avatar5 Dollar Fishing Game reply :

Absolutely Lou!

fishing user avatarJigfishn10 reply :

I did it twice once in 07 and just last January. I was not disappointed at all, a lot of fish caught on different lures. Disney in 07 taught me to love spinnerbaits!

The guides were super to be with and they really enjoy fishing with guys who know how to fish.

One word of advice, bring your own reel and switch out the one they give you. You'll be happy you did.

fishing user avatarBankbeater reply :

I think you are going to have a blast!

fishing user avatarzildjian reply :

I have done that multiple times throught the years during our family vacations in Disney down in Fl. very fun and easy fishing... Big bass too!
