I have been fishing quite a bit with these toads since they hit the market and just love them. No matter what body of water I fish I am able to catch bass with them. It doesn't matter if I am fishing from shore, canoe or bass boat these baits always catch fish. This is the most fun you can have with your pants on. I have turned on some friends to these and they now feel the same way as I do about this product. Big O you guys hit one out of the park with these toads, keep the great products coming. I am attaching a couple of pictures of some of the bass I have caught recently using these toads.
Here is another one caught using Ragetail Toads.

Glad you like the toads Ron but I like the looks of the water you're fishin, It's awesome.
Big O
Yeah it is one of my honey holes. If you are ever in Northern Virginia look me up so I can take you out to fish it. This place is a top water dream, the top water bite lasts alll day even with the heat. The only thing is you must like fishing pads and hydrilla.
Oh man I really hate fishin that nasty stuff....When we goin!!! ;D
Big O
Great write up and fish rondef. Thanks for sharing.
I love the frog action already, but haven't given rage tail a try. I might have to pick up a pack now.
Those are some great fish!
How are you riiging them???
Did you try rigging them like I told you?
Where is that honey hole that I haven't been to yet????????? ;D ;D
NitroMan, check your pm.
PM recieved thanks
I caught a few more on the ragetail toads this weekend. Here is one of them.
Here is another one.
Looking good ron!!!
Where did you go?
Thanks, I went to the spot I told you about in the pm I sent you. The one that we need to go to in my canoe.
I've only thrown these toads once for a few minutes and stopped after they kept running upside down. does this matter for you? and what's you hook up ration for these?
I loose more than I catch but that is because of fishing in the pads and hydrilla mats. I have had some run upside down but a stop, jerk and retrieve when I notice it corrects the problem. The newer toads don't seem to have that problem, don't know why.
The reason the newer ones don't spin on the retrieve is because they are packaged better and I believe they do not stay on the shelves as long as most other baits.
Yea ron I would like to go hit that spot up sometime soon!!!!!!!!
Nice fish there ;D
rodef next time you're out there try throwin a big spinnerbait around the pads. That looks like perfect spinnerbait water to me 8-)
Hey Tokyo, good call my dad (Rondef) and I have had some good luck doing just that with some Terminator spinnerbaits. Some people wouldn't even attempt it in shallow water with emerging grass and pads, but they work like a charm if thrown correctly and burned across. You'd be surprised how nicely it rips right through hydrilla. I love the Terminators.
Dad, nice fish. I may just trust you as far as going back out to that spot this weekend in the canoe.
Rage Tail definately has made some nice products lately. I remember sitting on the couch in February and watching the previews for those baits, seeing the guys from Strike King fishing them tearing it up on every other cast. I have to say aside from Cavitron's buzzbaits these are some of the best products as far as topwater available on the market today. Useful for tourney fishermen and weekend warrior alike.
Hey Nitro, you should head out with my dad man, I can tell you one thing, you will never wanna leave that spot once you get out there. Even when the fish are in a negative mood and the forecast is lookin' ify you can still manage 20 - 30 bites in a day. It's just a matter of hookin' up. Best topwater spot in Northern Virginia... period!

How big are those hawgs? I seldom bring a scale, but I do measure. What would you guess this one weighs:
19.5"
Most of mine in this thread are in the 2.5lb to 3.5lb range. That fish in your picture looks like it is some where between 3.5 and 5 pounds best I can tell. The one in my avatar is 6.5lb just to give you an idea of size. You should pick up a scale at Walmart, they are less than $20.
Are the spring loaded scales very accurate? I will certainly make the trip to get one.
No. Digi are the most accurate. Your better off just measuring the size by length and girth and using the bass calculator provided on the site if you plan on investing in a dingy spring loaded scale. Just mho.
Rapala and Berkley make some good quality digi scales.
I have a Rapala digital scale, it cost me less than $30. I would agree that the spring loaded scales are not accurate.
