Float tube bassin (VIDEO) 2025

Headed to Tama Co. to fish a pond that I have never been to before, so didn't know what to expect for fishing, but I wanted to test out the camcorder on the float tube.
The fishing was not all that great, I don't know if they were just "off" or if this pond doesn't have a very good population of fish, we'll have to go back and try it again.

You can count on "us" getting down there this year, I just want to test the waters so to speak, with the owners and what not

Must be different Amish, the ones I know in the area chop wood and make wool clothing. Well and one crazy amish guy smokes, gambles, and swears.

My best friend has a house on Truman Lake in MO. His area is being taken over my the Amish. Horses and Wagons EVERYWHERE!!!! I remember a few years ago we stopped by their place and bought some soap, candles, bread, and cinnamon rolls. Very weird experience. I remember all the children were either naked or wearing close to nothing and all of them (grown-ups and children) were staring at us like we were the weird ones : ;D.
His uncle was also building a new cabin, He was looking for an oak fireplace mantel. His uncle noticed the mantel they had in their place so he started asking about it. One of the men agreed to cut him an oak mantel for $50. He was pricing them back in the city for $800-$1000. He was expecting to have to go pick it up in a day or two ..... nope. Next day here came this HUGE horse pulling the huge mantel. It didn't stop there though. They even helped him install it!!!!

Ah... young grasshopper .....these fine Amish folks do bake cookies ...to the tune of 70 dozen on the weekends...they bake them in 3 kerosene ovens in the basement of there home...they sell these at a little road side stand

Actually that wasn't the drag, it's just how loud the braided line is coming thru the eyes of the rod, that and being so close to the camera. The reel is a Shimano Cronarch.

That first person view is awsome. Next big inovation on the video show is hat cameras to give us this view all the time. Great video can't wait to see more.
