Just an entertaining story...................
So, I am walking past this dumpster infront of my house and I see this fishin' pole hanging out the top. Me thinks to myself.........hmm. Call me a dumpdigger, but I snatched it up. It was 3ft sponge bob square pants pole! YESSSSS!
Anyways, my brother in law says, "I bet you could't catch a big bass on that thing....." So what do I do? I prove him wrong!
This good un' broke me off once before I finally hooked up again and got him. No bad for a sponge bob pole eh!

my son has that exact same rod. i took my kids fishing yesterday evening, and i only used their tackle and rods. unfortunately, we weren't as lucky as you were. nice fish!

i have that pole too!!! or at least my son does. hes caught many fish with it using senkos and grubs but now has upgraded a little. once i changed out the line he was good to go and even caught a 4 lber using a "guppy" that he caught with his little net.

My daughter has the same pole except its pink and says Barbie on it.
Well, let me tell you what, she has the best luck of anyone on that thing.
Wish we had a picture of the catfish she caught on it last year. I think it was longer than the rod.
Thought it was gonna smoke the drag, but I finally got it in.
Earlier in the year we got a nice bass on it too.
They all work.

Lol that is prob the funniest thing i'm going to hear/read all weekend. Congrats on the fish though, im surprised that rod didnt bust in half on the weight of that sucker.

Just goes to show ya: All the bass sees is the bait! The diamond wraps and price tags are for catching fishermen!. Why do you think there are no Square pants sponsored tournament boats??. A guy showed me how to tie some marabou feathers to a "tuned" beer can pop tab, for a "killer lure once, --cost $.00005+hook, feathers were 3" black and red from his wifes Boa-(now the secret's out). Confirms my belief-the Bass train us, not the other way around.
