I have recently taken up fishing. This reel is lightweight and affordable. You can reel in both directions (forward and backwards). It comes in a nice plastic box that you can use for bait. It is easy to attach to a pole/rod. My only criticism is that the handle is a little small. But I still think for the cost, it is worth taking a look

Got this to replace an old reel that got rusted out. After researching a bit, I went ahead with this one because I value the smoothness in reels. This reel works extremely fluidly. Its got a few built in features to keep salt water out. How well those actually work, I will need to test over time.

Comes with a pouch and plastic casing for ease of carrying and protection.

I have been out of the fishing game for 20+ years and I'm pretty sure this reel would cost hundreds of dollars back then, if the technology was even there, I wouldn't know because I've always used the cheap reels.
I can say ive never used one this nice. It's a joy to fish with and was easy to string it up.

Tried this out just recently, the wheel is very smooth and fast, works really well in fresh waters. It is a little small for fishing in saltwater, especially further from shore. But it still can work, so would recommend.
