Would this be a good trout reel or is it bigger like a bass reel

Answer: If people say this reel is trash, they cant fish. I've landed drum over 25in on 15lb braid. 20in trout, 35in red. And it still holds up. I'm getting another one at the end of this comment

Answer: It is small.......would be an ultralight reel for panfish or small trout. Larger trout or bass would over-power this reel.

Answer: It is not good for anything, they are junk! As far as the size of the reel it is a 500 series sized reel which is good for pan fish ex. blue gills sunfish crappie etc. It is an ultra light reel.

Answer: It's a smaller reel. I use it on my 5 foot crappie rods. It would be perfect for Trout streams. Very smooth.

Answer: it definitely has an anti reverse if that's what you are referring to......BUT, I would not recommend this reel.....bought 2, one broke within 3 weeks, other is operational but not smooth. hope this helps!

Answer: Yes, it does. If you are buying the LL50 , you are getting a nice ultra-light reel, well worth the money. Stay away from the. LLS75! I had two of them and had to send them back. The bail malfunctions after just a few times out. Go to the 100 model.

Lightweight, That's about it.
I got this reel to go backpacking. It's very light and its very cheap. The drag is very poor (no audible buzz sound). Plus it completely locked up and the drag stopped working completely during my last trip. It tangles incredibly easily and the bearings sound very rough already. I've only had it only for 3 months. This is the newer version of the reel. I can't image what the old version was like if this was their replacement ver. The reel handle feels very chintzy and not solid. It bends when you are reeling in (to close the bail after cast) I guess if you consider its only $30.00 you cant really go wrong but I would steer clear of this reel or go for the bait casting reels Lews makes. I hear they are better.

Looked like a nice little reel. Sent it back. The box, in the box was open and reel was busted. Must have thought i was a dupe. Said to send it back, might take a month. Meanwhile there's a charge pending on my bank account until they receive the broken one back, Great! Who would have thought...?
