The fishing kit comes simply packaged in a clear plastic bag to keep everything clean and dust-free in storage and shipping. After all, everything fits in its own water-resistant zipper bag, so why would you add a lot of packaging you're just going to throw away? Inside the black zipper bag [with the company logo on the front in the shape of a fish], you'll find a fishing knife that includes a sheath, the handle and the sheath are both made of hard plastic, so it's probably pretty waterproof, a strange-looking oversized tweezer device, a pair of heavy utility kitchen type scissors that include a plastic sheet to keep them safe, a sharpening tool for the knife, and a pair of medium-sized cut-resistant gloves. All of these tools fit nicely into the zipper bag, so it won't take up a lot of space when it's waiting for fishing time. All of these tools look fairly well made, I like that the stainless steel fishing knife has a black oxide coating to help keep it from rusting, the tweezers that I have come to learn is for fish bones seem to me like they are a bit of an afterthought thrown in, they don't look especially useful, but I will have to ask our family fishermen for advice on that. The fish scaler seems to be made out of stainless steel, but the handle on that seems a bit dubious - it looks like kitchen implements I have had in the past where the handle had filled up with water and corroded from the inside. Time will tell. All in all, this looks like a very nice starter assortment for fishing tools or an extra set for the experienced fisher.
