I pulled it up to 43lb and can go more. It has a gorrila grip on your rod and if it does go overboard it ain't going no where.

These work well, and secure tightly to your rod, I just don't personally like having my rods leashes to my Kayak.

These are a simple piece of equipment but after losing 2 poles this year while fishing on my kayak, I’d had enough. These attach easily to fishing rods and other equipment and have a sturdy ring to secure the item to the boat. These have already saved me from losing equipment while in the middle of the lake in the kayak. These are just what I needed.
