Answer: It works with all small bait fish except minnows the mesh will let smaller fish out. Anything smaller than 5/8 will pass through.

This is the worst cast net I have ever owned. I cannot even throw it out without it getting tangled up. the sinkers fit through the holes in the net so it becomes a huge Tangled mess each time you throw it. Nothing more than a ripoff of hard-earned money.

easy to throw even for beginners. Live bait is so expensive these days and usually 50% die off by the time you get to the water. Catching fresh bait whenever needed is always best.

We rented a canal house in Florida and was hoping to have fun catching fish with this. Not necessarily for bait fish but just to see what type of random fish you could catch.

There were ALWAYs fish on or around the dock. We even put in a green light and could literally see hundreds of fish school around at night.

In 2 weeks, we caught lots of fish while fishing. We caught zero fish while using this net. Granted, I am not a pro netter or anything but our fisherman friend from the area is and he also couldn't get the net to catch any fish.

It took a while to get the net to open fully but even when it did, the weights weren't enough for it to fall down fast enough to catch anything. He called this a toy net.

If you're looking to catch anything, spend a little more money on a better net.
