My step daughter uses this for catching minnows in our ditch. I was worried about the net ripping or the pole bending or breaking. She has gotten it caught on sticks and drug it across the pavement. It shows no sign of wear and tear. She also loves the rainbow colors.

It also has a small carrying bag for the handle as well. Did i mention it extends out as well?? Yup it does. I feel this net is strong and durable and without a doubt it will handle some nice panfish or bass.

Our boys love to go to the beach and catch minnows. We were using butterfly nets but they just weren't sturdy enough. After researching on amazon, I found these net and I'm so glad I did. They are perfect for little kids to catch minnows, sturdy and the flat bottom really helps maximize the number of fish with each "swipe". An excellent value and I highly recommend this!

Net is very sturdy for how lightweight and portable it is. The easy telescoping of the handle makes the net fairly long when needed, yet stay portable. I used this net creek fishing for small bass, bluegill, and creek chub. Net performed as expected and worked well to scoop small fish. My only complaint is when the net arrived the threads that connect the basket to the handle wouldn't thread all the way in. There was some sort of glue dried on the threads. After using a razor blade to scrape the glue off it threaded together just fine. Would recommend this for light fishing use.

This net is really cool. It feels really solid in your hand and it's adjustable in length so that he can use it. Also very easy to collapse and store for transport or storing in the boat.

I have a 2 year old so it's very important to be able to extend the net for him to reach over the side safely without falling in, but also being able to shorten in for when he is standing with it!

We bought it for him to catch fish with, but it's also soft enough that we were able to catch a butterfly! (Just be careful, the net is made of metal so can crush the butterfly if you aren't careful)

It seems like everything we buy these days is cheaply made and made to break; these have held up pretty well after a month of hard use by kids, but the foam handle of one has already broken off, and it's hard to adjust them without unscrewing the whole head. They will last longer than the dollar store variety, but we probably should have just gotten real nets. They're super popular with the kids, and parents are always asking where we got them.

Human Hotdog : Sturdy Enough to Catch a Cat ????

For a kids fishing net, I was pleasantly surprised with the size and strength, I would not put it in the toy category. My son brought this to camp the last couple days (sorry no photos allowed from camp) and caught a large bull frog, turtles and several small fish and small frogs. Left the net extended and it was plenty strong. His camp friend’s wooden net broke last week. I think we’ll have to order a second one, because our kitten loves it, and it’s not coming back in the house now that it’s been in a pond. Strong enough to hold a six pound kitten! Great product, highly recommended.
