Answer: I do believe that they are made from heavy aluminum. Mine hasn't rusted.

This net is really cool. It feels really solid in your hand and it's adjustable in length so that he can use it. Also very easy to collapse and store for transport or storing in the boat.

I have a 2 year old so it's very important to be able to extend the net for him to reach over the side safely without falling in, but also being able to shorten in for when he is standing with it!

We bought it for him to catch fish with, but it's also soft enough that we were able to catch a butterfly! (Just be careful, the net is made of metal so can crush the butterfly if you aren't careful)

Net is very sturdy for how lightweight and portable it is. The easy telescoping of the handle makes the net fairly long when needed, yet stay portable. I used this net creek fishing for small bass, bluegill, and creek chub. Net performed as expected and worked well to scoop small fish. My only complaint is when the net arrived the threads that connect the basket to the handle wouldn't thread all the way in. There was some sort of glue dried on the threads. After using a razor blade to scrape the glue off it threaded together just fine. Would recommend this for light fishing use.

I bought this for a trip to the beach and my son had hours of fishing entertainment. Very easy to use and sturdy: I did notice if sand got caught in the shaft it got more challenging to open and close the telescoping handle but we figured it out and tried to keep sand out.

There are cheaper nets available, but I believe you get what you pay for and this item did not disappoint. It's sturdy, well made, and looks great - far better than what my neighbors kids were using. We've already used it several times and it has proven quite effective at catching all manner of things for a closer inspection. She loves chasing butterflies, bugs, and fish.
