Beat a ’Bhèist : This Is A Good Net- But On Th Light Side
This is a good bait net, but the weights are on the light side, making those who throw heavier nets take a little getting used to.
The rubber weight idea is great, just need more of it. Net does not sink fast enough to trap all bait and hard to throw in a moderate breeze.
Comes with matching repair thread, which is cool.

UPDATE: after investigating a mono knot simply came loose. All of the knots were not tightened. I'm certain this was simply a rare "quality control" miss. I tightened all the knots myself and it feels very secure now. Works great and cannot beat this net for the price.

This was working great, then I saw a loose monofilament (think there's 8 - 10?) after only about 10 practice throws into my pool. Well, one bad mono line I thought, it still "closes"... then another cast and another came loose.
This could be just "a bad one" but I checked the other mono knots and they are also coming loose.
Poor craftsmanship or poor quality control... not sure. I can fix this because I have small pliers and a crimping set. I'm leaving for vacation in a couple days or I would return this.

I am a commercial fisherman in the space coast area and needed a cheap backup for mullet and mud minnows and the line is cheap and terrible and the weights are awful. It does not sink fast. If any of you ever bought one of those cheap terrible nets from Walmart just to have something to throw you will see that this one is just the same. If the mullet are in top I can get on top on them and then instantly start bringing it in as it hits the water but it takes forever to sink

The Drasry cast net casts great and functioned well. It definitely is more fragile than a traditional plastic mesh cast net but it comes with a repair kit. The bag it ships in is definitely not for the long term, broke the first time I tried to put the net back in.

This is my first cast net. I watched several youtube videos before the net arrived to have a clue on how to throw a cast net properly. It took 4 or 5 throws to get everything to come together and the net to properly "pancake". The net seems well built and the only thing I will probably change is the throw rope when it starts to wear. As a beginner this net works just fine for me.

The net itself is nice and works well. I appreciated the repair thread and fid that came with it. The zipper on the bag literally broke into pieces the very first time I went to open it. I’m a little bummed about that but the bag was sort of an extra. The quality of the net is the important part and that seems good.
