Answer: Initially had same issue. Sprayed handle liberally w/WD40, put the net frame (carefully) in my shop vice and twisted with both hands. Eventually it loosened and I discovered some kind of shredded green plastic... maybe a sleeve to keep the two handle tubes tight? Not great construction.

Answer: I don’t know where it was made, but the materials and workmanship are good. I use it to catch pullets to put up in the coop at night. It holds up well for that purpose.

Answer: Yes. of course, Our mesh hole is about 0.006 sq.in, so it's small enough to catch minnows.

I bought this for the "floating" part after my grandson dropped the net we had in the lake and it sank. I thIfought a floating net would be great. The telescoping handle doesn't seal, quickly filled with water and this one also sank like a rock. I suppose the good points are that this net is colorful. If you're buying it for durability or its ability to float, keep looking.

I purchased 3 of these nets (one in each color) and NONE of them telescope. Attempted to loosen them by hand with no success. Tried to use a rubber holder to get a more firm grip on it, no luck. Finally we used two vice grips and still no luck in getting these things loose. We will likely be returning them as they do NOT function for what my kids were hoping to use them for.
