Hope my wife doesn't see this but NICE reels!
Richard P. Crowe : Nice light-weight reel with 2 speed gears
I use this reel with 80 pound braid and a topshot of 50 pound monofilament to troll for West Coast tuna and other pelagic species. I replaced a Penn International 50 (old model single speed) with this reel and I am quite happy with it. I don't go on long range trips anymore (I am 75) and the weight and two speed capability of this reel really helps me. Gearing down to low gear gives me a 1.7 gear ratio which, IMO, can battle any tuna I expect to catch locally. Fifty pound test with a drag of about 15 to 16 pounds is all I am willing to fish with these days. This reel can be modified with a Tiburon frame for heavier action but the way it came from the factory is fine for me! I did, however, have after market bearings installed at Ken's Reel Service, Oceanside, CA, to increase the casting ability. However, I did not cast with it as it came from the factory so I cannot judge the improvement if any. However, about all that I cast with this reel is live mackerel to get the bait away from the boat.
Cory Norfleet : Five Stars

The picture shown is a Tyrons not a TLD this is misleading, ether by entent or by mistake, return was easy.
AM : Not very satisfied!
I like how it was delivered fast but the product that I received was not exactly the same as the picture I ordered. The handle was totally different. Is there any reason why the handle is not the same?
