Chucky! Nice fish. 42 is cold.
Wow nice where were u fishing at? And btw that's a state citation
That's a hog! Great job!
Super catch.
Thanks for sharing and congrats.
Now go back and catch her again!
Thanks for all the congrats, biggest LMB I have ever caught. Caught her in my neighborhood lake out here in King George. Pretty sure I hooked her this summer but she got off at the boat. I didnt know that was a state citation I thought it was 8lbs for a citation? anyway caught her dragging the bottom with a black and blue jig with yamamatsu(sp) split tail grub trailer. We had been slayin 1-2lbs all summer in this lake. got a 2-4lber in the spring but nothing this big have I even heard fo being in there. Being such a small lake I am gonna try to do some management from here on out. Gonna start eating or relocating at lot of the smaller ones we catch next summer. Try to thin out some of the competition. My buddy also caught a chain pickeral the same day probably around 2-3 lbs. really cool looking fish, didn't know those were in our lake either.
By the way I put her back. Catch and release only way to go with the big girls
Question: Is there anything I can do now , Citation wise??
I believe the citation size is 8lbs.

Very nice catch! especially for this time of the year. There's a pond I fish in King George but I'm thinking it's frozen right now.... >
8lbs or 22inches for citation!
Quote8lbs or 22inches for citation!
oooh yeah, forgot about the length.
I don't know if VA cares much about citations....all you need is a witness to sign off on it I think. the form is on the dgif website.
unfortunately we didn't get a pic with the tape measure next to her. d**n it, I think you have to have a pic when certifying by length. I will get her next time... ;D
Congrats, nice catch!
you need to UPGRADE your avitar...with the new pic!!! haha
I tried, cant figure it out
good call , below I will figure something out
If you need to warn us about language, then it probably isn't appropriate to post. Edit it, or forget it
View at your own risk, I have a slight loss of judgement and partially curse under my breath at one point
SteveinVA, you do not need a pic when trying to get a citation by length, you only need a witness. Very nice fish!
Cool, thanks
yea you can still apply for citation...they dont need a pic.
I am gonna send them one anyway ;D ;D
@SteveinVA: Go to your profile edit, upload picture from your computer, then refresh your page. The new picture should appear. When it does, just stroll down and click save.
thnaks , I got it in there now
Nice fish!! Can't wait to see a pic of her in the spring!
youre gonna need a bigger boat!
Nice one !!
