I'm coming and I will have ChrisBass in my boat. I'll be there around 6 (I hope) but I'll be hanging close to the launch (probably will only go out to the point off the launch and fish it until 8).
I suck at getting things together so I'm sorry this is so unorganized. Thanks for helping Speed
I will be there, I have an open slot in my boat for anyone who wants to ride.
Jim
I will be there also, with my son.I will be bringing my boat.See ya at James Creek.
Paangler3117, is that seat still open on your boat? I would love to join you guys.
Ian
Ian, tell your brother to drag his sorry arse up here to fish. LOL
Shoot Paangler a PM and one of you two let me know so I can edit the list.
Waiting on the wife to see whats going on that weekend? A 3 day PA license is only like $200 right?
Allen

A three day tourist license will be $27 a person. An annual tourist will be $53. I used to think that was expensive then I came to Wyoming and paid $110 for an annual license. My roommate paid $600 for an out of state elk tag.
I'm in and will be in Nates boat.
It's still open Ian. If you want to go your more than welcome!
Jim

Who needs the police? You would be doing more good fishing!
Ok, I'm just kidding - Hope you can make it, but fight crime first

I'm thinking two options for you, since you're in charge:
1) Delegate.
2) Offer OT/Comp. Somebody will grab it up.
Ill be there and may have my Buddie with me
Ok, this Saturday is coming up quickly. Got a couple new baits that I can GUARANTEE the Raystown fish have never seen. Hopefully they are looking for a mouthful.
Paangler, you find an *** for that seat yet? ;D
I just picked up some clearance glass raps for 2.99... Yay Dicks! Someones getting a muskie this trip... I can feel it!
Anyone got any reports on the lake or the area we will be fishing?
The other week there was a lot of talk about how things could be.
Just looked at local weather to the weekend. Looks like a couple days of unstable weather here. Possible a front moving through on Friday based on temps.
I've only ever seen striper reports on raystown. There was a tournament there over the weekend. Looked like quantity wasn't an issue but the quality fish were few... If ask else fails and the bass fishing completely sucks, go for the monster bluegill
That front might be helpful actually. I've noticed that some fronts in early fall can trigger a feeding frenzy, unlike other times when it kills the action. I think it reminds the fish that the cold is coming and they need to chow! What do I know though, I'm just a random guy
Hope you're right about the post front idea.
As for quantity over quality, I am completly ok with quantity.
(witty)
I was out Saturday with my dad, surface temp was 71-72, caught two nice bass, one dink and a 16 inch walleye. I was fishing up towards shy beaver. Good bit of boat traffic, but it was really nice. if there is any weather at all it should knock the traffic right down. Stripers are starting to bust the top at dusk, but we didn't see any.
My friend finished 8th in the big open striper tourny a week or two ago, he had 31 pounds. We could get some walleye, striper, muskie, great thing about that lake, you just never know! A lot of guys have been doing good in the weeds, but our fish saturday were coming of rock with a channel near by, (one creek channel, two on the river channel with some wood) I am pumped for this guys!!!!!! Still have an open seat if anyone wants to come!
Jim
If you didn't see Speed, DDH is coming (as long as nothing comes up) and has an open seat available. He posted in the other thread
On it.
WVU vs LSU trip got cancelled. Got room for 1 or 2 more
QuoteWVU vs LSU trip got cancelled. Got room for 1 or 2 more
DDH has a seat. PaAngler may still have a seat. Pm them and check for sure though.
Just a thought. Any consideration to utilizing some handheld radios to communicate (Midland, Moto.)? I think we will be there long before 8AM and if there is any sort of morning bite I don't think we're gonna stop and report to the ramp!
Radios or no, it doesn't matter to me.
Forgot to add the witty
QuoteWVU vs LSU trip got cancelled. Got room for 1 or 2 more
Just like we talked about. Definitely one seat open.
Get Blaine to come up too. You guys can crash at my place Saturday night if need be.
Bk, I don't have any radios I gave speed my cell number (feel free to call or text). We could meet on the water. I think that would be easier. I'll post a map shot once I get to work, but I was thinking we could meet on one of those little "cut outs" along the bank. Just a thought
That's fine by me.
I have Nate and BK's cell numbers.
If anyone would like to, feel free to PM me cell phone numbers and I will try to keep everyone up to date on Saturday.
If you have a radio to bring, put it on channel 4-2.
Oh Sh!t!!!!
Goose season is in until Saturday as well. If you hear random shots in the morning, you'll probably find me under them.
I think our boat is going to be full of gear.... ;D
HAHA That's awesome... Stay away from Speed and BK's boat... check!
http://goo.gl/maps/2SG5
How about we meet at the last upper cut out before that cove comes out onto the lake? Those two points near the entrance should be prime fishing areas. You have multiple creek channels meeting and a very deep area right there.

Will you be calling me from the front of the boat to tell me to get the net?
-witty-
Count me in. I'll be there with boat and friend.
This is shaping up nicely.
I'm impressed with the potential turn out.
Lets tether up and create a mega party float... HA
We are taking over the lake! This...is.... BASSRESOURCE!!!!!!!!!!

Not affiliated at all.
Just some PA residents getting together to fish.
So, you may chant, "This....is.....just a random gathering of folks fishing the same lake."
Doesnt have quite the same ring to it... ;D

I think our boat is going to be full of gear.... ;D
Between gear, engine, shotguns and ammo we are going to need to add some pontoons to the boat to keep it floating.
:-* also witty
Hope no one checks the weight rating of the boat. You might be going for a swim...
It will NEVER be an official BR meet up until Glenn and his mighty mustache makes an appearance...
My boat is only rated for 600 lbs, and I had 4 people in it once... We did ok, but the trolling motor was struggling. I'll never put more than 2 in that boat again, fishing with any more people in it than that is impossible!
QuoteHope no one checks the weight rating of the boat. You might be going for a swim...
I took the weight rating plaque off your boat last year.
I'm not sure, but I haven't been this pumped to go fishing for a while. I have been excited each day I have gone this year (due to limited opportunity due to a newborn). My gear was packed last night minus the stuff I ordered and will arrive on Thursday and rain gear/clothing.
Speed, I have a rider now. My dad is going to come :-)
So we are going to meet around 6-6:30 at the inlets. I am looking forward to meeting everyone! I will be in the blue 15ft ebbtide, grey 40hr mariner. We might only stay till noon. (we will see if i can talk dad into staying longer!)
Jim
Good deal.
Will note on the front page.
Just a reminder, make sure you all have $3 with you to pay to launch!
I'm with you BK, I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas haha I haven't been to Raystown in probably 2 or 3 seasons!
PaAngler, the official meet time is 8, but I will probably be there around 6. It depends when the sun comes up because I don't have lights haha.
Speed, thanks for commenting on my FB post. I thought that was you, but wasn't sure but you now confirmed it HAHA
everyone - here is a pic of 'Old Blue' so you know I'll be the idiot in the bright blue boat.
No problem.
We will be in the green Tracker Jon boat. Just look for the muzzle blast and dying geese. ;D
I guess if we don't catch many, we can just blame it on the full moon. :-?
QuoteI guess if we don't catch many, we can just blame it on the full moon. :-?
Or the off balance temps. 2 days in the 90's and then back to 70 on Saturday... Stripers are probably going back to the depths I'm breakin' out the down riggers.... If I only had some...
Do you think it will affect the overall water temp much from two hot days with that being such a big body of water?
QuoteDo you think it will affect the overall water temp much from two hot days with that being such a big body of water?
I hope not. It might push some of the shallow fish out, but I was planning on fishing deep anyway We'll see though, I hope it doesn't kill the topwater bite!
I'm really sorry I couldn't make this trip. Looking forward to reports and pics though!
Yeah you go have fun at your silly tournament, us REAL anglers will get the fishing done
I kid, I kid!
The TM batteries are all charged up, I'm packed and ready to go! LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!!
We plan on leaving approximately 4:30 w/ arrival around 6.
That should leave just enough time to get the stuff hooked up, rods into the boat and be fishing by sun up.
QuoteWe plan on leaving approximately 4:30 w/ arrival around 6.That should leave just enough time to get the stuff hooked up, rods into the boat and be fishing by sun up.
I'll be there around 6/6:30. I have only an hour drive and I think I can handle a 4:30 wake to leave at 5 haha! Again, REMEMBER YOUR $3 EVERYONE WITH A BOAT!
packed and ready, we will be getting there about 6:30-7. Lets tear em up guys!!!!! Be safe everyone!
Jim
Hey everyone....Im stuck at work til noon....can't attend this go round.....Cant wait to see some pictures and hear the reports. Sorry everyone. I knew there would be a call off.....I shouldn't have planned anything....then people would have showed up for work and I could be there!! Good luck everyone....Was there Wednesday and the surface temp was 71-73. Trolling motor fish finder said about the same. Be sure to post pictures.....count me in for all (5) meetings next year!! HAHA
Hope you guys had a good time, sure wish I could have made this. The guy that was planning on going with me, had some family issues and I didnt feel like making the trip alone.
