didn't have a scale on hand. on shore with 2lb test.
Between 5.5 and 6.5lbs.
sounds about right. there was a tournament that was finishing up when i caught that fish. i woulda won big fish for the day had i entered.
4 - 4 1/2 lbs. definitely not over 5 lbs. sorry
4.5-5.5
There is a weight article on this site to use to estimate the weight of your bass.
Here is the formula I use:
Estimating Weight of a Largemouth Bass
Formula that will give you a close approximation of the bass' weight.
LENGTH x LENGTH x GRITH = WEIGHT IN POUNDS
1200
Length means the total length in inches from the tip of the jaw to the longest part of the tail.
Girth is measured in inches around the thickest part of the body
25 inch bass with a 20-inch girth:
25 x 25 x 20 = 10.42 Pounds
1200
Try using this formula to estimate weight of your bass.
It's bigger than most of the ones I usually catch. So that puts the weight over 1 pound .
4 1/2 to 5 1/2 lbs. Great looking fish.
I am not good at guessing wt. of fish.Nice Bass, though.
im actually going to say 5.5 or 6.
looks to be 18 to 22 inches or so... but its pretty fat too.... so......
Some where between 1-5 lbs.
Tops it would be is 5 pounds, at best.
Here's the best formula to figure a fish's weight:
BUY A SCALE .
An eye will lie; a scale doesn't.
Guess I'm the only one that thinks no way does that fish hit 5 pounds. It's also being held closer to the camera, making it look bigger. 3.5 - 4 lbs.
QuoteSome where between 1-5 lbs.
;D ;D ;D
That bass is definitely over 4 pounds, I don't know where people get off saying that bass is less than 4. I would guess between 4.5 -5.5 unless you're a really tall guy.
As long as we're on the subject, I didn't have a scale either and am curious of what it wieghed.
QuoteSome where between 1-5 lbs.
exactly. you CANNOT estimate weight from a picture, bottom line, don't care what anyone says.
Largemouth, maybe 5. Smallmouth, maybe 2 3/4. The eyes don't lie!!
Buy a scale.
Largemouth- about 5-5.5 lbs
Smallmouth- 3 lbs
what a beautiful smallie!
id say 3+lbs.

Don't know but it sure is purty.
Quotedidn't have a scale on hand. on shore with 2lb test.
I'd say 5.0-5.5lbs.
I would say between 4-6 lbs.
5 and a half to 6. maybe 6 and a half.the smallie looked like a good 3 maybe 3 and a half pounder
that fish doesnt look over 5 but i could be wrong
I would bet it 's closer to 4 than 5! Doesn't look that fat to me >
Largemouth: 'bout 5
Smallmouth: 'bout 3
Digital scale: 20 bucks
Not having to guess the weight of a big fish: priceless
I'd say hes every bit of 4.5-5 pounds
I'd say around 5 lbs and great job on 2 lb test...
Man, those are both nice fish and they are both more than a Henway!
The LM, i'd guess 4lb.7oz. (unless i caught it, then it would weigh close to 10lbs.)
