Shimmy wants to tell us that . . .
"When i edited my first post, i accidentally deleted the first post. You were next in line, which means your "the Man". "
Which means this is SHIMMY's Post NOT Mine . . . .
See ya

This is a video from fishing in Minnesota. Now, keep in mind this is not from California so if your looking for 15 pound bass, they don't grow that big here. This is just a video of how amazing the fishing is in the state of MN. I live in VA and just moved from Utah and i can attest (still biased-don't care) that nothing compares. This is my summer vacation spot. Can any other state do this..

and i take my hat off to the big guys in charge of bassresource. There is not a better bass fishing forum
yeh, it was initially a challenge to block out some baits and then turned into an obsession. Since most anglers on this website are great fisherman, it makes no difference whether they see the baits or not. They can probably figure it out
Nice fish!
At first I didn't realize you were blocking out the baits...
I just thought there was a finger print on the lens...
But after I saw it the second time I though "oooh secret bait".
Nice video, man! That is some great footage of some hawgs!
Wow some nice fish. Great video
You're right. I want to go right now. It's cold, rainy, and windy-I guess I really don't want to go right this minute. I do have the itch though.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thanks for sharing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Thats pretty cool.
Is it just me or are at least some of the fish in the opening segment dead?
Also, at the 2:50 mark, the double hookup, seems pretty clearly a case of rehooked fish. I mean, they are both "hooked" within feet of the boat, and are completely played out. When guy A sets the hook, the fish is back underneath the boat, despite the way the wind would have been drifting. When guy B sets the hook, which he barely does, the he wasnt even moving his crankbait. Not to mention the complete lack of excitement. I get stoked when we get 5# doubles out here.
Maybe I'm just a pessimist. If I'm wrong, then my mistake. But those two things just JUMPED out at me.
setup... no comment : (however, no fish died in the video-all were released alive and well)

Yeah when i saw the second guy pull it in it seemed kinda weird to me how he "reacted" to getting a fish on and then when he pulled it out and it was a crank i was surprised b/c i didn't see him working it. Either way great vid!
Man after watching that a second time it really does look like what fourbizz was saying. Haha not trying to tick anyone off but the first one looked like it was hooked under the boat ahha and he set the hook and it was there. Then dragged it in like it was a boot. I know big bass are lazy but that looked to be how a bass is after getting him to get the boat.
Awsome vid! and Great bass fishing!
nice video... but seriously, blurring the baits? have you found some magic bait that nobody knows about? come on mang.
You wouldn't have to worry about blurring yours baits with that music if people weren't smart enough to mute it, they would just OMG ESC!

Hey shimmy nice video, I LOL hard at the music ;D
Very nice fish. Glad to see the C&R going on too.
Great footage i cant wait to get back out this weekend
on second thought I agree with above, some of those look like bogus shots.

Yeh, there truly is nothing like it. Anyone takin any trips soon to MN and want a heads up as to where to go, just give me a PM and i'll give you what i can.
"NICE FISH"
I guess I better quit fishing.
Nice video and beautiful fish. That's some nice-looking water you're fishing as well.
In the PM will you tell us the secret bait too? ;D Nice pigs!!!
How the heck did I end up as the originator of this thread ?

Ha, well when i edited my first post, i accidentally deleted the first post. You were next in line, which means your "the Man".
great video.
work on your acting a little bit. You should have had the setup shot at 2:50 done a little better. I.e someone holding the fish out of camera shot. haha. nice fish regardless.
WOW that did it i want to be out there right now. Very nice.
Couple of nice northerns in there as well. Those are always fun.
holy @#$%!!!! that vid is sick!
is MN that good for bass?
i would actually imagine so since there are a thousand lakes there, so there is less pressure on each lake. Seriously, can you give me some feedback on this opinion. I mean, if there are so many lakes to fish, there has to be some that are nearly virgin compared to lakes across the country especially in Baltimore/DC area maryland where there are few lakes but so many people...

Hey c17, i wish i could take credit for catching a lot of fish on those videos but the reality is this. Imagine a great lake near by where no one and i mean no one goes on. No one to keep the fish, no shore fisherman, like you said, Virgin lakes. There are so many of them, you can hit one that hasn't been hit for months. The best ones get hit the same way an average lake gets hit on like a tuesday. Now it still takes skill to catch big ones consistantly but to be honest about the numbers, you could throw out your bare hook and you'll catch one almost any cast. It is unbelievable. Down side is, state record is 8 lb 15 oz hence why not many people bombard it like Mexico. It is the greatest place in the country in my opinion for catching numbers. We average over a 100 fish in the boat everyday. Not exaggerating. Any MN fisherman reading this would agree.
great video
Mike
nice vid, nice bass!
nice video, I take a trip to ottertail county every year and the bass fishing is awesome. The lakes are pretty good size and not many people target bass so even the lakes that get alot of fishing pressure the bass fishing can still be outstanding cause most boats will be out there targeting panfish or walleye. Bass fishing in MN is not something that alot of people do.
