Kvd is Kevin van dam's series made by strike king. The 1.5 is a 2 1/4" 3/8oz shallow diving square bill crankbait 3-6 ft. Depth. They're quality is good and the price is low enough where you can buy a bunch of them!

I like the 1.5's and the Red Eye Shad in sexy chartreuse color. Im not a big crankbait guy, but I have a lot of confidence in these two cranks.

Oh yea, and you cant forget the Rat-l-trap in chrome with blue back/orange belly.

I also like the KVD 1.0 and 1.5. I use the 1.0 more than the 1.5. Top 3 colors in my opinion are:

- Sexy Shad

- Bluegill

- Chartreuse/Black back

I mostly have KVD 1.5's but I also fish Bandit 200's and I have a Rapala or 2. I'm always experimenting with new colors. If I end up losing one, I'll often get a completely different color when I replace it. Although I have done really well with Sexy Shad 1.5's and Bandits in the Mistake color.

Shallow: Norman Fat Boy

Medium: KVD 2.5, Bandit 200 & 300, Bomber Fat Free Shad, Red Eye Shad

Deep: Norman DD22, Rapala DT 16

Ive used alot of kvds. Though Ive caught fish on them, I much prefer the spro little john... With the exception of it costing twice as much. I have a bunch of kvd lures, dont even use them anymore.

how about sending them my way, I mainly use dt6, kvd, bandit and a few bombers. I have a few ratLtraps as well, blue gill, shad, shiner colors work for me

I like rapala cranks from their square bills all the way to their DT12. I also like the silent KVD square bills as well

My crankbaits are;

1. Bomber "shallow A Squarebill" 1' to 3' in redapple craw, green craw, Brown craw, baby bass orange bottom and firecraw. It's not the squarebill shallow, it's the shallow A squarebill. I'm still using the standard colors with success.

2. Rebel original floater #7 in blue or black.

3. Norman thin "N" in chartruese killer, red ear, sunfish, aposolaps, violet, blue gill.

4. Norman Fat Boy

5. Rebel BIG CLAW crawfish crankbait that dives to 10' D74

I stay with the length sometimes being between plus or minus 2" with all my shallow cranks. This is when the correct presentation really matters. The success of trying a new pattern depends on the presentation, it's not just casting it out and reeling it in.

With the #5 big claw I cast it out and give the rod a swept back motion to make it dive

down on the spot then I reel it slow enough to keep it down. Since this lures floats you can use it top water too. Your reel speed also determines how deep it will run between 0 to 10'. We use the smaller rebel crawfish lures in rivers for bass too. Just bring it into the back wash behind the rocks sticking out of the water.

With the Norman cranks and bomber cranks since they float they can be used either way too. I like to twitch the Norman thin N topwater as it gets dark. Or you can slow reel it too. I use the bomber crank the same way or you can slow reel it. I've caught trout on the redapplecraw bomber. The bomber A series has a finer tone rattle different than the others.

I think on somedays the tone of the rattle matters too.

KVD 1.5, 3-6ft are my favorite ones to use. I wasn't a fan of the crank bait u til a week or so ago.

I also like Spro products and the old standbys Bill Normans.

I've been liking the KVD 1.5 in TN Shad pretty well. I've caught about 5 or so bass on it. Nothing big though seems like all I catch are sub-1 pounders.
