Sunglasses On A Budget 2025

fishing user avatar1099gl reply :

I see guys paying up to $300 dollars on sunglasses...not for me any good sunglasses on a budget of $50 or less?

fishing user avatarFlywatersmallie reply :

Though not under $50, these are close to your budget http://h3opolarized.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=H3O&Category_Code=H3OLITE and they aren't bad. Put on a pair of Costas and you will know why guys spend $$$ for sunglasses. You only have the one set of eyes, best to take care of them IMO but to each their own. The H3O guy lives a couple miles from me, he stands behind his product and I have used them in the past. Right up there with anything else in their price range.

fishing user avatarIAY reply :

I forgot my sunglasses when I went to offshore fishing so I picked up Strike King Sunglasses for around 20 dollars. It has pretty good lenses and frame is tolerable. Plus you won't have to worry about dirtying/losing them since they are only 20 bucks!

fishing user avatarBG RTR reply :

I have a cheap pair of polarized berkleys that I got at WM. Love them.

fishing user avatarOperationEagle reply :

Picked up some sunclouds for less than $30 (includ shipping) from sierra trading post.  you can find some decent deals there of you have the patience to keep looking.

fishing user avatarLMB KING reply :

I used to buy cheap walmart sunglasses until i did alot of research and i find out that cheap sunglasses are actually very damaging to the eyes and causes eye stress and eye fatigue. So i ended up with costa del mar and never ever looked back to another brand.

fishing user avatarScott F reply :

Those H3Os were a problem. The interchangeable lens seem like a good idea but, you have to put your fingers all over the lens' to switch them out. Can't change them without getting fingerprints all over them. They also don't snap into place as easily as it looks. A couple of times, I switched the lens only to have one fall out. Almost lost it in a river. I was not happy with my purchase.

Berkley $5 Walmart fishing glasses in amber

fishing user avatarBank4Bass reply :

Save your money and pick up a pair of costas, they are in a league of their own.

fishing user avatarcjam93 reply :

I know you said $50 or less, but if you were to come into a little extra money I would really suggest checking out Wiley X. I picked up a pair of polarized jakes from amazon that were only $80. I love them, and the climate control gasket is great for helping keep the wind out of your eyes on the lake.

fishing user avatariceintheveins reply :

Dynamic lures makes a pair of great glasses for about $30. Are they as good as the more expensive ones? No. But in the price range they are unbeatable.

I can help you here, Eye Surrender, I have 2 pair now, 1 with a copper lens and 1 with a green lens, awesome sunglasses that I actually forget are on my face they are that light. I had a good pair of Maui Jims that I really liked and the fell to the depths by accident and I swore I'd never buy an expensive pair again. I looked at all kinds of sunglasses from $30 to $80 and I didn't care for most and by stupid luck a friend new an off the wall vendor and told me the glasses are great for $49.99 and $59.99. I chose the more expensive pair just because the frame size is a little larger but I have to tell you that after the first pair I had to get a second pair, they come with a had case and cloth which I thought was going to mean bad glasses but nope, they are legit, fantasic optical quality, I would tell you the optical quality is better than the Smith Action Optics that I bought which were $119 but I hated how they felt on my face. Go to the website and take a look, they aren't stunning like the Oakly half jackets but they look conservative but super strong and super light with lifetime replacement warranty if the lens gets scratched or if the frame breaks which are, TR-90 I-Flex, try find those frames on cheap glasses. Trust me, you'll like them.

Strike King S11's about $40. Worlds better than the $20 SK's or Berkley's.

fishing user avatarScorchx1245 reply :

I got a pair of spiderwire performance glasses for 30 at Walmart and love them. People are amazed that they were only 30, quite similar to my old Maui Jim's

x3...  Someday I might invest in a high dollar pair.  If I knew someone who had a pair of the Costas and could try them against my S11's, then I might pull the trigger a little sooner.

X4 on the SK's -  I have an Amber lens pair & a grey lens pair.

I can't seem to find a $50 pair of Costas.  Where do you buy them?

I find that I save my money by NOT paying four times as much as I need to for solid quality stuff.

fishing user avatarmasterbass reply :

I use field and stream's in amber.  Cost $25 and this time I bought a 2 year warranty for $6.  I break and scratch too many to invest big bucks.  My buddy loves his s-11's.  The first time I used polarized sunglasses for fishing was mind blowing.  I always wondered how much better you could see into the water with expensive lenses.  Anyone have any input?

fishing user avatarmartintheduck reply :

CROSSFIRE POLARIZED SUNGLASSES. $25. Thank me later.

Glad those suckers are working good for you! Those crankbaits sure have caught me a gang of fish! hahaha

fishing user avatarflyfisher reply :

Forget the cheap sunglasses and look for deals on the good ones.  A great site to find closeouts on sunglasses is www.sierratradingpost.com they don't have the fishing costas too often but they have smith which are pretty good for a plastic lens.  if you sign up for their deal flyer or do a search for coupons you can usually find 30% off pretty easily.

fishing user avatarLoop_Dad reply :

Striking S11... Get the Amber if you have to choose one as I believe has the widest range of use out of other color choices.
