This has most likely been done before (sorry if it has) but i can not find a thread to it so... I would like to know what your personal all time favorite go-to lure for bass fishing along with the technique used! Here's a chance to share your ways to others.
All of the lakes I fish are shad lakes, which in turn makes my go-to lure a shad rap. No matter the time of year it always seems to produce at least a fish or 2 per trip or a lot more different times of year.
Plastics
This jig and trailer right here. No doubt.
Spinner.
My two hottest baits I start off with is the BPS TOPNOCKER and the REBEL BIGCLAW CRAWFISH crankbaits.
Swimbaits
Jig
Still trying to figure out
A Super Fluke almost always produces, whether weighted or unweighted.
Manns jelly purple worm.t rigged weightless or with.i guess im still lookin to break my own record 25 yrs later.

Nope, it never has been done before
Hands down a jig!
jig
Go to.....hmmmm I fish so many different small bodies of water where each is different and calls for something a little different. But I'll say a shallow crank followed by a jig. Those two baits have been money most of this year in almost all of them.
When all else fails i'm bouncing something off the bottom . It may be a worm , jig , grub , trap , spinnerbait , swimbait ,...

Ditto
Mike
Jig and craw trailer!
Tight lines,
Bob
Senko/senko-style worm, 4", wacky, weightless
As of late it's been the Lunker City Spanky in peanutbutter. When there is ANY vegetation on the surface I'm throwing a black frog.
Nothing really works for me.
Baby Rage Craw...so much confidence in that little bait.
My "Go To" lure seems to change year to year.
Last year it was a squarebill crank bait and this season saw a chatterbait getting a good chunk of the action.
A-Jay
senko style worm
Spinner is going to be in the water wherever I am fishing
It used to be a Bandit 100 in Tenn. Shade but looks like now it might be the Ned Rig. I have a ton of confidence that I will catch something with it.
My "go to" changes with what body of water I'm fishing. In general, I always have a sq bill and a jig tied on.

I'm glad to see the love for the Jelly Worm. Just got 160 in the mail yesterday . Black grape , Blueberry , Motor Oil are the old colors I use . This year i had a lot of luck on Watermelon Chartreuse .
The last day I went fishing this year I had a school of 1 to 2 lb bass located on a point with a marker buoy marking the spot. A boat slowly trolled out to me to see what the heck i was using . He was friendly and apologized but was getting skunked and he said " I never seen anyone catch as many fish as you " I invited him to fish the spot and he still could not catch any . I was using a Manns six inch chartreuse watermelon worm , gave him three and he then put a couple of bass in the boat . He wanted to buy the rest of the bag but I refused to sell them . I bet he went home and placed an order .

Been in almost the same spot before fishing a pond everyone (family outing) wanted to know why one guy was doing all the catching. It was the only guy using the Manns 6" Marmalade (motor oil) worm. Everyone changed and everyone started reeling in fish. Coincidence? I think not.
Jig with some kind of trailer on it.
I primarily fish from the shore of the lake in relatively shallow water. A shallow crank (mostly squarebills) seems to be my go to bait, particularly in spring and fall.
swim bait . storm clear color. i use them on my A rig as well.
The newly released bait that I don't have. Gotta get one in each color and size. Right?
Ribbon-tail worm, Tequila sunrise, red shad, or junebug, t-rigged.
2nd place would be a blue/black jig with matching trailer.
Tom
War Eagle spinner baits or a Rage or Creme craw.Use them alot
Some type of Jig with trailer, preferably a Siebert Jig.
Plastics. T-rig most often.
Shallow, a Super Fluke or Houdini shad on a 4/0 EWG hook
Deep, a straight tail worm on a jighead
in between, a double willow spinnerbait.
Last few months it's been a Super Sally.
normally a jig rigged with a rage craw of a rage tail menace rigged vertically if i'm swimming it
