Good choices in there. You stayed away from junk and got some good quality proven baits that are not too expensive.

After this ill be branching out to mattlures and triple trouts!
Nice group of baits right there. Add a gill bait to the mix when you get the chance and you'll be golden. Matt's U2 is great. Thats what i'll be fishing all year until I can get my hands on a Hardgill.
Look for a 3:16 jr wake or fs shad. Good start there. Have fun!

Oh baby on the beds or deep? I was really debating buying the straight tail and the boot tail but i couldn't decide plus my tab was pretty high already lol. what ones do you prefer. Im thinking bootail pumpkin seed deep summer ? sounds like bass destruction !

I grabbed a 68 special for swimming and the ultimate bluegill flat tail for jigging. Girls are just eating right now.
It's up to you, I really like the face down eating look on the bluegill so I didn't want a swimmer.
im going to get the straight tail if im able to fish the spawn.your using the 68 for bed fish?
68 anywhere though I don't bed fish. I use the rof 5 and slow retrieve it

Hi Grizzn N Bassin,
I see you are in NY. I am confused why you are so heavy in Rainbow Trout lures? I could see that choice in California where they plant Rainbows for Bass feed. Is NY also planting Rainbows or are there a lot in the ponds/lakes you fish? Not saying you made a mistake just wondering why you are so heavy into Rainbow Trout lures in NY. I have never fished NY so educate me.

Because if it looks like a meal, they'll eat it. Bass will eat anything or try if it fits in their mouth. On 4/20/2014 at 11:13 PM, FrankW said:Hi Grizzn N Bassin,

Hudds get bit for me here and I've never seen or heard of any trout on my home lake in west ga. just another fish smaller than the bass that looks like an easy carefree meal to larger bass

NY has quite a few stocked Reservoirs. As far as the color I'm a firm believer of a meal is a meal for a bass no matter what color.
