Anybody recommend a good worm for drop shotting, shakey head, and possibly carolina rig?
That is a worm equally suitable to each application for simplicity's sake.
Yamamoto Kut Tail. Rage Thumper, Zoom Trick
Zoom 7" trick worm will cover all those basis easily.
Trick worm
X3 on the zoom trick worm
if you're into finesse fishing, I would recommend the Roboworm 4" or 6" worm. Absolutely DEADLY!!!!
Good recommendations. color? black, green pumpkin, watermelon?
i've had lots of luck with the jackall crosstail shad nose hook or the jackall flick shake 4.8 rigged wacky
I just found unopened pack of zoom original trick worm in watermelon seed. These things are huge. Any body cut the 7 inch down
Trick worm will do it all.
5 inch pro senko,,green pumkin

you can nose hook it or wacky rig it
Why restrict yourself to one worm?
Trick worm all the way.

Yes I cut them down and they still work. Usually cut the end off if it tears, you can get away with that 2 or 3 times. but I have cut them down to 3" for my son and it would catch dinks but he was happy. IMO the trick worm is the best action for all techniques versus price and amount. you get 20 trick worms for half the price of 10 stinkos that tear in half after 1 fish.
Edit: when you cut them they will tend to pick up mor weeds, since the nice bullet shape is gone, but they will "push" more water, you also play with the angle you cut them too. 45 degree down it slides through weeds better, 45 degree up it pushes the worm a little deeper, and stright 90 up/down cut pushes the most water for disturbance.
5 inch Zoom Finess Worm, in my waters it's Watermelon-Red
Hard to beat a nose hooked 4" Roboworm on the drop shot; along with a 3" Senko, wacky rigged.. I would carolina/texas rig a Zoom Trick worm. And just for general productivity, the green pumpkin Senko. I don't think I could live with on one worm though! Even this list makes me uneasy.
Another Zoom Finesse and Trick worm vote. But also a Senko fan.
And also agree with roadwarrior, why restrict yourself to just one?
4" aaron's magic roboworm. Out performs any other DS bait I have tried. For shakey head, the Zoom trick worm. I use motor oil.
Just a heads up guys a senko is a stick bait not a worm.

It sure looks like a worm to me.
...and I misread the topic. I think a Zoom trick worm would work for all three but I could never only have one worm!

give the 5 inch pro senko a shot,,youll be surprized
Just tried a pack of the Zoom trick worms that I have had sitting around for months. The are watermelon red flake. They worked pretty good just on a texas rig and letting them sink and swim.
QuoteIt sure looks like a worm to me.
Common misconception because a worm and stick bait are almost interchangeable for any way of fishing them.
Stick baits are fatter and they are all have straight tails. Worms can have a variation of tails and in general are thinner.
Also if you go to a site like TW.com you will find senkos under the soft stick bait category not under worms.
Regardless a senko will fit whats needed in this topic I just wanted to clarify that the senko is not a worm.

I'm not at all. Yet, it's certainly nice to know which worms are suitable to multiple aplications. Utility and simplicity
Luck E Strike 4" Razor worm.
Roboworm hands down!
Mike D
Zoom trick worm, either size, also I like the Zoom shaky worm for its nice thin profile, has produced well for myself.
I also really like the Zoom centipede for wacky rigging, I would drop shot, but I have no boat or kayak yet!!!!!!!!!><!<!<!<<<
Here's Mine From big presentation to Finesse...

Common misconception to insist a worm can't be a worm because tackle warehouse says so.
Let's call it a stick worm and move on ; )
Zoom Trick worm, i have about a whole worm binder full of them, every ounce of money goes to them, Good colors are watermelon, black, junebug, bullfrog, white, yellow, limetreuse, methioliate, red/black, I have learned brighter colors when fished weightless texas rigged will pull them off the bed, black works at night, white works when nothing else will, junebug is a middle of the day bait, and watermelon is good for everything
Just my .2 cents

a lot of people will fish the senko wacky on a drop shot
but I still like the trick worm
oh I should throw a gambler giggy stick (name correct??)
it's 5", hollow with a tube like tail....I've dropshotted it, texas rigged it, works pretty good in all applications
