If you could bring just ONE bait/lure with you on a fishing trip what would it be?
Mine would probably be a blue fleck berkley powerworm
It would depend on the water, and the time of year. All my fish this year have been on two baits: crankbait and suspending jerkbait. It won't be like that in a month.
A tube. The color would have to be determined my the water I'm fishing but I can catch bass on tubes in all 12 months of the year.
one lure for all seasons and all water temps for anywhere in the world?
Id have to say a spoon. I hate using them but every fresh and saltwater game fish can be caught on a spoon.
This one is so easy. WHITE ROOSTER TAIL. Catches all kinds of fish. Burn it, let it fall, slow roll it, stroke it. I got a good laugh when my cousin tied one then just murdered the smallies and everything else.
white zoom super fluke
Senko!

Exactly.
I used to think this was an easy question, but. . . :-/
It would have to be one of three:
Chrome rat-l-trap
White spinnerbait
Shad Zoom fluke
All can be fished at different depths, although the weedlessness of the fluke would win out over the other two.
Hmmmmmmmmmm...only one eh?
gotta be a watermelon senko
but if I could have just one more than add in a ratLtrap.
And a chug bug would be nice.
Of course I just love those big ole culprit worms, and how about a ..........................................nevermind.
Purple or black plastic worm

i would bring a jig you can fish it shallow or deep, drag it over pads like a frog, for largemouth or hop it along rockpiles for smallies. swim it like a spinnerbait. alround its the most versitle lure i throw
I'd have to go with the Senko I'm affraid. Will catch anything!
8" Texas rigged Junebug worm. If they are a little lure shy i can pinch off 2" or so and still be good! ;D
Green Pumpkin Senko. That's it. I am a believer.
Black Zoom Trick Worm. You can fish it weightless, weighted, wacky rigged. I have caught more fish on a black trick worm than any other lure. You know what they say, Once you go black you never go back! ;D
Green Pumpkin Fat Ika.
5/16 oz eakins jig in pb&j with matching eakins craw trailer.
manns baby 1 or a zoom super fluke
beetle spin if i needed food a plastic worm if i was doin it for fun and only had one bait to use
Pumpkin Senco..
Depends on the lake/season but probably a Senko or a Roboworm.
If the water is fairly clear, it would be a 4" creme white senko rigged on a 1/0 EWG Gammy.
Yamamoto Spider Grub on a Football Head
If I could only use one bait anywhere anytime it would be a Kalin's or Chompers 3 to 5 inch curly tail grub on a jig head.
QuoteGreen Pumpkin Senko. That's it. I am a believer.
Read my mind. T-Rig or weightless it will catch fish shallow to deep,
Skip under docks, shimmy down into weeds, wacky rig where you might pitch a jig etc.
yamamoto double tail hula grub in green pumpkin, black flake.
can fish it so many different ways. weightless, t-rig, c-rig, jig it, swim it, bounce it off bottom, even could pinch tails off, fish it backwards like a grub if needed.
smallies - 1/4 bitsy bug jig with 3" craw trailer
largemouth - 1/4 oz yamamoto arkie jighead with 4" double tail hula grub
Texas-rigged Zoom Junebug Trickworm. You can fish the whole water column with this bait .
A 5" senko................

My choice too - love the versatility.
Some sort of worm. They work all year around.

X3
this time of year- a Black/silver daiwa peanut
In a couple months- A green pumpkin or motor oil trick worm
-gk
Usually I would say a T-rig 6" lizard, but not the past few weeks. My backup favorite has been doing the business though, a RI Sweet Beaver in Hematoma on a 1/4oz RI Screwed-Up jighead. I have caught decent fish every outing(at 6 different areas) on this rig.
7" red shad Hookup
or
5" green pump./chart. lam.Trick Stick

Exactly. So let's say I'm going tomorrow. I'd grab one of my crankin' rods and a shad colored square bill crank (a custom flat crank I bought on ebay). A jig or lizard would work well also, but I can burn water with the crank.
Yamamoto hula grub on a 1/4 oz jighead, swim it, hop it or drag it you will get bit. Those who want to get started fishing a jig should consider starting with this one, the fish rarely let it go.
