Hey folks, let Big-O know: What's your favorite RageTail product and how do you rig it? Let's hear it!
I have two, sorry. First is a Smokin' Rooster Trig with 1/4 or 5/16 unpegged, second is a Craw on back of a jig.
I also have two:
Rage Craw with one or two ribs bitten off and threaded onto a Northstar jig.
7" Anaconda on a keel-weighted Owner Twistlock hook.
Eeliminator as a Jig Trailer - But DON'T Tell anyone else . . . . .
A-Jay
Rage Toad! hands down best toad made. rig it with a 5/0 ewg hook
Craw! Falcon and Candy Craw! But Mr. Parks already knew that.
Baby Rage Craw, texas rigged with a 4/0 EWG hook and an unpegged 1/4 worm weight.
Hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose one it would be the eeliminator. From skimming along the surface to deep water c-rigging, it gets bit. I can catch fish with this bait at any depth and in any weather conditions.
Space monkey(Okeechobee Craw) 4/0 wide gap hook and a 1/4 oz bullet weight.I've grown quite fond of this bait.
The Rage Lobster by a long shot, it's been pure dynamite!
We fish the Lobster as a standalone bait on an unskirted jighead (color has never seemed to matter).
To be more exact, we Texas-rig the Lobster on an Owner 1/4oz type-Z bullet head.
This is NOT the Owner jighead sold by Tackle Warehouse, which is a rubbery finesse version using a fine-wire 1/0 hook.
We use the Owner “Type-Z” bullet head sold by Performance Tackle, which is built on a forged, standard-wire 3/0 Owner hook.

Bama Rage Craw t-rigged on a 4/0 hook with an 1/8oz. bullet.
Craw, several colors t-rigged. Smoking rooster and anaconda are close behind too.
Right now the 7in Annaconda Watermelon red, t-rigged with a 3/16 tungsten bullit weight on a 3/0 gammy has been rockin my boat.
All of them..............
But if I have to pick one well two its the rage craw in bama craw on a jig or trigged 5/0 1/2oz pegged and its tied with rage shad 5/0 weightless
10" Thumper, T-rigged, Blue Fleck (purple)
Original Rage Craw / T-rigged / un-pegged 1/8 oz. worm weight / 4/0 Gammy EWG / Watermelon Red, Bama Craw, or Summer Craw colors in that order. Always have at least one tied on and sometimes two.
Rage craw
1/8 oz tungsten bullet pegged
Dirty water - Black/blue
Clear water - bama bug
Rage Craw on a keel weighted Mustad Powerlock 4/0. Gets it done.
Ronnie
I love them all too. Rage tails are without a doubt my favorite line of plastics. Right now in my bag I have eeliminators, anacondas, shad, toads, chunks, craws, roosters, and spacemonkeys. My favorites would have to be the craws both as jig trailers or on an unskirted football head and also the 7" anacondas.
Rage Shad 5/0 EWG for up top, any color will do.
Smokin' Rooster on a Carolina Rig in Green Pumpkin w/Red Flake. I am probably averaging over 3lbs per Smallie with this bait.
Craw t-rigged with a 3/16 tungsten weight. Wtml/Red and Junebug!
Lately its been the Rage Craw, specifically the Bama Craw color.
I've been using it as a swim jig trailer.
Easy. All of them!
Rage Shad has become my #1 bait the past few seasons as soon as it warms up and the grass starts growing. After that, Craw on a jig, Rooster, Monkey, Lizard. Tough to pick. That's why I have 100 bags of each.
black and blue craw as a jig trailer, and the silver SHAD
I guess to answer the question, I'm going with the Falcon Lake Craw. My bag looks like a Rage Tail showcase, including every bait, in every color, plus several baits and colors that are not on the market yet, and they are all favorites, but the Craw does get used the most overall, since I use it in so many different ways, including but not limited to, weighted and un-weighted Tx rig, keel-weighted (my favorite), jig trailer, drop shot, and C-rigged. There is no body of water that has bass in it, that I can't catch them on a Rage Craw.
1. Rage Craw (Falcon Red or Perl White) on a 1/8 oz keel weighted hook.
2. Rage Anaconda 7' worm Dark Blue T-Rig'd & 1/8 oz weight & bobber stopper above the weight.
Rage craw, a few different colors, rigged with a keel weighted hook, texas rigged, and used as a jig trailer. Very versatile bait.
Rage craw, all the way! In bama craw seems to work the best for me. I can use it texas rigged, keel weighted, and I have even nabbed one buzzing it on top of the water!

A baby craw on a 4/0 EWG hook? Mines a rage shad on a owner twist lock 4/0 1/8 Oz. keel weighted hook. Rage craws pegged with a 1/8 Oz. Tungsten weight is a VERY close second.

Ragetail black/blue Texas rig 1/4oz weight
Can't pick just one!
T/rigged lobster or thumper, C/rigged Eeliminator and of course a keel-weighted craw or smokin rooster will always be found rigged on my poles, sometimes with a little twist to the rigs comes into play too.
Rage shad. Hookingem put me on to them, but in a court of law I am pleading the 5th. I went out fishing a couple of weeks ago and switched over to a Rage Shad. First cast, hit the water, took a second to pull out a small backlash, 1/2 reel turn, 3.5# bass (in a span of 4 seconds). I put it right on his noise! I was impressed!!

Now That's thinking WAY outside the box ~ I love it !
I bet that rig throws off some kind of vibration.
How did you come up with it ?
A-Jay
Yea A-Jay, it does throw quite a bit of vibration and works well. As far as coming up with it, the spinner rig was shown to me by a guide one day on a jighead. Just adapted it to a keel weighted hook, changed to a bigger blade and the rest is history. Fishing the Rooster like that without the spinner-rig works well too and is always my first choice as a search bait. It can be fished fast and anyplace you would throw a fluke or swimbait. The spinner-rig really comes into play sometimes at night, and/or in real dirty water.
#1 is a Rage Chunk it is the only trailer I use on my jigs.
#2 is a Rage Craw. I use every size. (I can't believe I'm going to give this little secret.) I found a way to rig them that is even better than using a keel weighted hook. I found a little jighead called a Goby Sled by Buckeye Lures. It's is a killer when the bass are on the bottom.
#3 is the Thumper worm. It is a great Carolina Rig worm and has been working great in this hot weather.
first is the rage craw then followed by an anaconda and then space money t rig any colors
gotta love the space monkey, and the rage toad as a close second
Right now I would say the 10 inch Anaconda in the plum color, but I also like the craws and the space monkey.
10'' Anaconda
- Texas rigged, keel weighted
- Big Tex color or Big Tex dyed BLACK. (If you actually made it in BLACK I would probably buy more than I do now.)
7'' Anaconda
- Texas rigged, keel weighted, ChatterFrog trailer
- Big Tex, Big Tex dyed BLACK, Watermelon/Red
Craw
- Texas rigged, keel weighted, jig or ChatterFrog trailer
- Black/Blue, Amber/Green/Black, Watermelon/Red
Space Money
- Texas rigged, keel weighted, jig trailer
- Black/Blue, Big Tex
Rage Rig
A Rage Tail Lobster (Falcon Lake Craw)
A Keel Weighted Stroker™ Hook, ¼ oz 5/0
I picked up a big selection including Chunks, Craws, Anacondas, Shads and Toads. Since I really like top-water, I've only really used the Shads and Toads. I would have to say Toads #1 and Shads #2.
I use the Rage Shad (GrnPkm/Chart) w/ Gama Superline EWG 4/0 on braid as subtle alternative to buzzbaits or in a "froggin" situation. I get too OCD when my frogs roll over on their back (including Rage Toad), so the Rage Shad is very versatile for me.

Glad you like the Shad and here's a Hooking illustration that might help with any Toad you choose... Mine run flawlessly when rigged like this!
Hope this helps

I do real well with a Texas rigged Ragetail Craw in Bama Craw color on just about every lake that has fish in it.
One from Richmond Mills:
The shad have been very productive for me this year. The craws produced a few nice fish this Spring but they haven't landed me nearly as many fish as the shad.

Thanks Big-O. I think the key is "nose up/belly bowed" which will just take more practice. I guess I'm programmed to texas-rigged my soft plastics straight.

Most folks bow the back upward during skin hooking and that's the culprit for turn overs... Will cause it everytime

Well, on second thought...Maybe instead of the Thumper, it's the Baby Craw.
My other favorites include the Baby Craw for smallies, Shad, Thumper, and Annie.
The Lobster is a definite as well.
Can I play too???? I have a few favorites depending on which ones the fish are calling their favorites at any given time, so here we go...
For fishing over trash and slop and I need a four wheel drive bait with buzzbait style noise, the Rage Shad gets the call. When I need to tone it down just a little, the Toad gets wet. Then if I need to finesse the surface, the Eeliminator or Lobster finds their way on my hook. I'll use a Moaner weighted hook on the Shad in open water for windy conditions.
When the big Worm is a subtle bite the Anaconda goes swimming, but when the fish are a little more aggressive, I'll turn the Thumper loose.
When T-rigging other than big worms, I'll normally start with Hawg, Rooster, Lobster or Space Monkey going down in profile to the "Real Coaxers" being the Lizard and Baby Thumper.
If a C-rig is in order the Eeliminator is KING until I run out of them, then the Smokin Rooster beats on'em.
When Bass that are feeding on jigs (of any type) and regardless of the water temps, the Rage Craw, Lobster, Space Monkey or Smokin Rooster will be the trailer.
For trailing the smallest jigs, the Baby Craw or trimmed Rage Shrimp finds it way in the fish's mouth.
The Flippin and Pitchin game calls for variety, depending on the overall profile that the fish are asking for most. The Craw for small profiles, Lobster, Space Monkey or Rooster for more bulk and the Rage Hawg for additional length.
For the Rage Rig (rigging on a Swimbait or weighted hook) the Craw, Lobster, Space Monkey, Hawg or Anaconda brings'em to the boat.
Now I get to show'em the 4" Grub Thanks for the comments and to all of you who enjoy our products!

That is a tough one... being a typical woman I have a difficult time making up my mind but Rage Tail has been responsible for my pbs over the last few years.
I would have to say a light weight c-rigged eeliminator or a Rage rigged (weighted hook) rage craw which was responsible for my newest big fish for this year.
Woo-Hoo!
great catch Mrs.!!!!
Heck of a bass and I love the hat!
