What's your favorite plastic worm for numbers of bass? I mean plain worms (not senkos, creatures or french fries). How do you rig it and how do you fish it.
My favorite worm is a 4" Bass Pro Shops ring worm in watermelonseed color, fished on a split shot rig with a 1/0 EWG hook on MH spinning gear.

Zoom Finesse Worm just about always produces for me. Of course, a 7 inch Berkley Power worm Texas rigged must be way up on the list of Bass catchers.
I rig the Finesse Worm on a 1/16oz Owner Ultra head.
The Power Worm,a 4/0 Owner Twistlock.
Even though u said no senko, I have to say senko, but next for me would be Strike King 3x Finesse Worms in 4 or 7 inch
7" Rage Tail Anaconda, weightless.
I would say the Netbait C- Mac 7" or the 11" and the Zoom Fin. worm. The C Mac I rig on a Owner 3/0 or a 5/0 weighted hook. And the Fin. worms I rig on a 3/0 Owner twistlock hook.
Culprit in Crawdad or Red Shad. 1/16th oz Tungsten on a 2/0 Owner.
Passive Bass (most of the time)
Gambler Big Stick
Roboworm Zipper Worm
Brewers Slider Worm
Aggressive Bass (some of the time)
Berkley 10" Power Worm
Gambler 10" Ribbontail Worm
Deps 6" Deathadder Grub (can you say 'Dynamite')
(anaconda: too much active ribbon, not enough stable body target)
Roger
Berkley Power worm, 4 inch black or junebug T rigged
Zoom trick worm best ever!!!!!
And a senko is a stick bait not a worm
10 in zoom, junebug, t-rig

Or texas rigged with a light weight. When fished at the right times this thing was deadly for me last year. Bama Bug color.
Mann's jelly worm or a Zoom finesse worm. I'll t-rig it or c-rig it depending on how thick the weeds are.
Zoom 10in in Red Shad or Solid Black...
Fish stalker finesee worm- Green pumpkin with gold flake 1/8oz steel weight or weightless, 2/0 gammy hook
Culprit original- redshad, rigged weightless on a Gammy 2/0 hook
Deep Creek Lures worm- Chartreuse with black back, 1/8oz steel weight, 2/0 gammy hook
Zoom trickworm- Motor oil or Motor oil with red flake, rigged wieghtless on a gammy 2/0 hook

Flippin' - June Bug Trick Worm
Pitchin' - June Bug Trick Worm
C-rig - June Bug Trick Worm
T-rig - June Bug Trick Worm
Weightless - June Bug Trick Worm
Wacky - June Bug Trick Worm
And yet, for some reason, I still have 3,456 bags of worms that are NOT June Bug Trick Worms.

Touche' ;D
I'm sure each will be covered in due course.
When I read your preference for the color "Junebug" in your former post, it took me back to the 1960s.
Not long after the first plastic worms flooded the marketplace (Cream, Manns & Culprit),
the cliche' of the times was "Any color worm will work, as long as it's "Purple"".
Remarkably, 40 years later and it's still a "Purple Worm"!
Roger
Zoom finesse, Zoom Shaky head and Roboworm straight tail worm have produced the largest numbers. The most productive I have used is a watermelon/red flake Zoom finesse worm.
zoom magnum worm, zoom ss u tale,
anything black. rig according to conditions and cover.
QuoteZoom trick worm best ever!!!!!And a senko is a stick bait not a worm
you obviously haven't fished the zipper shakin roboworms, which is my favorite next to the kuhuna cut tail worm
The 6". Most of the time t rigged with a 3/16, or 1/4 oz bullet weight. I have dropshotted them also.
The 4.5" worms are for dropshot, unless I'm really desperate and need to toss into some light cover.. ;D
When I do dropshot them, I prefer to nose hook them.

Luck E strike's jogger worm....laugh all you want those things can catch fish and they are under $2 a bag.

Hey! I was being serious Roger. I know a wealth of information when I see him, just looking to get as much as I can.
Never even heard of that Deps worm...

They are like a harder version of the senko and they are good for aggressive bass.

As I'll bet you know, Japanese fishing tackle has cornered a special market niche,
not the least of which is the Senko. Browse the Ichiban Tackle & Lee's Global Tackle websites
and you'll find leading edge lures from Deps, Keitech, etcetera

I would probably have to say Roboworm! The first time I used it it caught me a nice bass using a drop shot and hooking it in the nose!! 4.5 inch straight tail black grape!!!
Quoteyou obviously haven't fished the zipper shakin roboworms, which is my favorite next to the kuhuna cut tail worm
We obviously have very different opinions which is obvious because you and I are different people.
What you assume is that it is obvious that I have never fish the zipper shakin worm because if I had then it would obviously be my favorite worm.
What you failed to observe is that that Captain Obvious is a tackle junkie of the first degree and close kin to the bait monkey. Obviously one who has devoted most of his young life to studding tackle could not let such a well know lure like the zipper fly under his radar.
Obviously then I have fished that worm and still claim that it comes behind my much loved trick worm.
I hope that now you will continue to fish the zipper worm which you obviously love, and I will fish the trick worm which I obviously love and we both will enjoy success with our choices.
Now after this short hi-jack of this post let us continue with the first question: Favorite Plastic Worm?
My answer remains unchanged
Capt.O
Oh my goodness kids. It's lures, not life or death. Lighten up.
I think that pretty much anything past or present that's made out of plastic will make the list sooner or later if this thread lives long enough.
I like just about any plastic as long as it's a shade of purple.

Sorry I was joking around maybe I made it sound to serious but I was just joking ;D

Zoom Mag 2
Zoom finesse worm,
Never fished a trick worm, how do you normally rig these?
QuoteZoom finesse worm,Never fished a trick worm, how do you normally rig these?
T- tig them but instead of a normal position for the hook put it further down the worm so you get fluttering action on both ends. Its deadly
...............?
Zoom 8" Big Dead Ringer in Watermelon Seed Texas or Carolina rigged.I like to dip the tail in chart Spike It.I use a 3/0 Gammy G-Lock hook
Zoom Trick Worm, plain watermelon in clear water, black in any other water. Always weightless with a 2/0 or 3/0 hook.
On a jighead: Strike king 3X worm
T-rigged: GYCB Big Kahuna Cut-Tail
Honorable Mention:
Power Worms, 7" and 10"
Yum Big Show Paddle worms
Original Culprit worms
Zoom Trick worms
Zoom Finesse worms
Anacondas
Quote...............?
It's simple. Instead of putting the hook point in and out of the worm right away put the hook in and run it down about 2 inches and then out.
Got it?

Capt.O
there's an element of truth to every joke.
ROBOWORM RULES!!!
Roboworm (in ox blood, blue, green pumpkin colors) or Don Iovino hand-pour worms (in crawdad color). I like to fish these on a split-shot, or drop-shot rig. I use either 4" or 6" worms...
I think the hand-pours seem to fall a little slower which I really like when split-shotting.
