Do you have a new go to lure for this year?
For me personally, I have been sticking to the same old stuff> Lucky Craft crank baits, Senkos, and Zoom Lizards
My go to lure is a jig
New to this year for me is a spook. Its put not only numbers in my bag, but also weight. Some quality fish have been landed this year because of my super spook jr.
Roboworm on the dropshot for me.
A jig and the wacky rig.
It'd have to be 12 inch ribbon tail for me!
Senko! Finally got a color I have confidence in as well as technique!

What color? What technique ? Just curious
I started using shakey heads this year and they have saved me many times from getting skunked lol...
Sorry Big-O
Bass Assassin's New Tapout Worm, enhanced wirh liquid salt & infused wirh Bang Scent Formula.
It's basically a fat Trick worm!
For me it has been a jig
Siebert Outdoor Fogy with a 4 inch Keitech Swing Impact
Dropshot rigged with a roboworm and a Rage Tail Bug. Both have been killing fish for me lately; even when nothing else can draw a nibble.
pro poppin frog ishes poppin phattie
This year the majority of my fish have come on a Rage Tail baby craw.
Been having a lot of success with the megastick this year, however my go to or fail safe will always be a weightless t rigged Senko.

It's just going to depend on your home water. You have to let the fish tell you what they want. For me I've always done well on a green pumpkin senko with either purple flake or purple and green flake.
Versatility is my go to presentation. Different baits/ techniques for the various seasons and taking into consideration lake type & weather conditions.
My mojo rig with finesse worm is still my go-to! Expanding to include a drop shot.
I've added the Duo Realis Spin Bait 80 to my go-to list.
I fish very clear water for smallmouth.

Green Flash which is a DSG exclusive color, wacky rigged with a size 1 Mustad double wide hook. Go through about 3 bags of worms and 3 packs of hooks each outing, but manage a limit fairly quick on lakes, not so much rivers. Anyhow I throw em on a ML rod wacky rigged. Cast and do nothing, once line starts moving I sweep to the side slow and steady to get the hook into the corner of the mouth. My hookup ratio has been 99.9999% Using the double wide hooks not only did my hook up ratio skyrocket but I stopped gut hooking them.
Edit* Refer to my avatar lmao
Majority of my fish from the bank have come on a Red Dirt Bladed Jig with a Rage craw trailer yo-yoing it through grass. Had some quality fish on it so far, especially at night.
Manns jelly worm and my ol faithful 1/2oz white/chartreuse spinnerbait
3/8 oz. T1 Terminator Spinner bait, chart/blue/wht with double willow blades or the Zoom Super fluke in white ice or pearl. I've probably fished both equally as much this year.
For me it's been the zoom horny toad in green pumpkin. Any lake w/ clear water and cover it just plain catches fish better than anything else.
football jig black blue with Berkley havoc pit boss and gained a lot of confidence in senkos also / watermelon black flk. and that jj's magic.
This year the jig is my MVP so far as it's nabbed my 2 biggest of the season so far and my rookie of the year would be the Rage Bug .
Fx knuckle sexy french pearl has done really well for me.
I would like to get better at catching them on a swim jig. But I'll probably just stick to what catches me fish, my zoom lizards and trick works
The same lure it's been the last 5 years; Zoom Trick Worm.
A rapala DT14.
I've got two for this year. I'd say 99% of my fish have come off of them.
Rage Menace with and Extreme Shaky head 1/4 oz
Big O Brush jig 1/2oz blue bug with a rage blue bug craw.
The red Red Eye Shad. Works every time for me.
I've been having a lot of success on the Rapala BX Minnows. I also just got into fishing plastics after being a crankbait guy for years. So I guess you could add wacky rigged Senko's to my list.
My new, never used it before lure is a 4" tube. Venom Tube to be exact. I had never fished any kind of tube before this year. I have been catching a lot of bass on that tube.
Hootie
Been the year of the jig for me, 3/8 football jig with chigger craw hopping off bottom, green pumpkin...when weeds got up I started using a swim jig, siebert tournament in bluegill with green pumpkin chigger craw been slaying em
I've had two go to lures this year. Spro little john md in chrome olive and Megabass pop X in white python.
Black and blue jig. I started out using the strike king pro model jig , but I got some siebert outdoors jigs recently and they are better and cheaper than anything you can get from bass pro. 1/2 oz black/blue brush jig specifically.
1. Siebert 3/8 oz Blue Craw Dredge Football Jig with a Berkley Pumpkin colored Chiggar Craw.
2. H2O Express Bluegill colored Squarebill crank.
3. Zoom Baitfish colored Super Fluke.
Siebert outdoors tournament series swim jig
in 24/7 or blue/black
It was a Rage Tail Baby Craw early in the year, but lately it's been a T-rigged Culprit 10" black ribbon-tail.
Keitech Swing Impact Fat (my go to 2012 and 2013)
Zoom Speedcraw
Getting a lot of fish on a Buzzjet too.

Tubes are fantastic! Squirt some megastrike up inside of it.
Zoom finesse worm in black. Any lake, any day, any time.
For me, it just works.
Last year it was Square bills. This year it was a StrikeBack spinnerbaits, but the bite has really been unstable on any one presentation. The only 'new' bait I've been using is a white RageTail craw on a white 1/2oz. Swim jig. It's been my bIg fish presentation since post spawn and has put more of them in the boat for me than my old fav. a Zoom Ol Monster.
Lots of wacky rigging/flick shaking for me
Siebert outdoors brush jig (bluegill) with a R.I. smallie beaver trailer.
Siebert outdoors Zenith shakeyhead(3/16) tipped with Danny Joe Humphreys floating worm.
Zoom magnum finesse worm weightless.(black)
On a sidenote and not to derail the thread but when I started bass fishing many years ago black was the color I threw the most. I got away from that color for a number of years but this year in particular I am throwing It In almost all conditions and having great success.
Lipless crankbaits - Strike King Red Eye Shad in Sexy Shad.
Little late but mine was the weightless zoom trick worm- watermelon chat tail
superspook jr in black shiner
Booya popin pad crasher
just started getting into fishing this year. I went almost every day in the summer and I found that trick worms, stick baits, buzzbaits, and topwater frogs caught me a ton

same here 1/2oz blue and chrome rat l trap also pad crasher jr in shad. when all else failed these produced every time
Frogs and Sick Fish. Black and green frogs. And disco shad Sick Fish.
I'm going back to the Texas Rig Yum-Dinger. I got away from it last year when I was using the split shot rig almost 99% of time. Except for one large bass, all other bass were on the small side. But two years ago all I did was use the Texas Rig and I did pretty good. So Texas Rig, here I come!
KVD 1.5 Blackback/chart crankbait, 6" BPS green pumpkin/magic pearl squirmin lizard, Black/blue flake Yamamoto senko, Zoom trick worms green pumpkin.
I used a couple of Livingston lures last year and out of the box>>BAM! Repeatedly caught fish that particular day. Next time out...nothing on that lure.
Anyone try the new Shadow Rap from Rapala?
The all mighty jig. It catches BIG bass. Very reliable lure for quality bites.
go to bait gotta be a strike king 5xd in chart shad
new lures i tryed this year jigs topwater and senkos loved em all and caught fish on them all
