Favorite CB brand??? 2024

fishing user avatarShadcranker reply :

I'm a Bandit and Norman guy myself, although I've been fishing a lot of the Strike King bait lately (Ser 5 & 6).

fishing user avatarNEBassMan reply :

always like Rapala stuff, and have great success with it.  Decently priced, good selection, and nice patterns.

Jason

fishing user avatarTin reply :

Strike King because of there series 1 and 3's. The Red Eye lipless series is the best on the market imo.

fishing user avatarMicro reply :

Rapalas and Bombers.  Rapalas if I can only choose one.

fishing user avatarJake. reply :

Lucky Craft.

fishing user avatarBassFishingMachine reply :

I voted for Rapala because they make some great baits with great prices. I use a decent amount of Luckycraft hardbaits too but the Rapala hard jerkbaits produce better for me then the LC hard jerkbaits. The action of the Lc jerkbaits are alot nicer, but the fish just seem to hit the Rapalas more for me. My 2nd choice would probably be a tie between Lc/Yozuri.

fishing user avatarbmadd reply :

Close but Bandit edges out on Strike King...Bandit just has a lot more colors

fishing user avatarfishingfourfun reply :

Rapala if I had to choose just one.

fishing user avatarRoLo reply :

Bill Lewis (rat-l-trap)

It don't need a lip to be a crankbait

Roger

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

Count me as a Rapala guy, but also have ALOT of Rat-L-Traps, Bandits, and Mann's 1-'s.

Bomber.

fishing user avatargarry77 reply :

That's what I thought.Thanks.

fishing user avatarcajun1977. reply :

bomber here

fishing user avatarStringjam reply :

This site's own Marty Burns (aka Big M)

He can make pretty much anything I want or need from -1' to +20'

fishing user avatarislandbass reply :

Another for Rapala as the favorite, but I am not completely loyal to one brand. If I were forced to fish with lures from only one company, I could do quite well with Rapala.

fishing user avatar7magJake reply :

None of these. Bill Lewis Lures is my personal favortie. Small company with a big impact on the fishing industry.

fishing user avatarSam reply :

I always check out the Bandits first.

Then the Lucky Crafts.

Followed by the Rapalas.

Then Bomber.

Rat-L-Traps are favorite lipless cranks.

fishing user avatar.dsaavedra. reply :

my favorite is by far rapala. bandit comes in second, and bomber in close third.

fishing user avatar.dsaavedra. reply :

fishing user avatarThe Rooster reply :

fishing user avatarT-rig reply :

fishing user avatarbassbob08 reply :

if its working thats my fav. at that time. ;)

fishing user avatarMaxDal reply :

I voted "Lucky Craft" because those are the ones I use the most !

Like the Moonsault CB, the Fat & Flat CB, and love the RC a bunch.

But I also love them Bagleys. The orig. B2 & 3 ... have an old favorite color...Only have two left though ! It's like a blue/purple back with salmon/pink flanks and pink belly with golden sparkles and a chartreuse tail.... Anybody knows the name ?

As for DD CB, just LC as I said, and also Norman from time to time ! ;)

fishing user avatarMALTESE FALCON reply :

I have ALOT of different brands of cranks, but my favorite is Rapala, because the Shad Raps, DT's, and Rattlin Raps put more fish in my boat than all others.

Falcon

fishing user avatarba7ss3in reply :

Lucky Craft and the Rapala DT series

fishing user avatarDean reply :

All of Norman's crankbaits get my vote.  8-)

fishing user avatarbugman reply :

LC cranks and sticks for shallow and mid depth.

Norman DD-22 for deep water.

fishing user avatarbass wrangler569 reply :

I love bomber cranks. Bagleys were a close second.

fishing user avatardjmax22 reply :

I am suprised Rapala is running away with the vote. The DT series is nice and I use these lures primarily for shallow water applications. However, IMO the Norman DD22 didnt get enough love in this thread. In the summetime these cranks really start to shine.

Another lure that I havent seen mention is the Wiggle Wart. All that lure does is catch fish and is one of my favorite baits to use in the spring.

fishing user avatarFishTank reply :

Lucky Craft and Rapala.  I can't wait to use the new DT Fat series from Rapala.  It looks like a winner.

fishing user avatarburleytog reply :

Rapala = $12 bait in a $7 package
