Hey Guys,
I was wondering what your personal favorite square bills are. Mine is the Storm Arashi Square 3 in Rusty Craw and Bluegill. The SK KVD Square bills are a really close second. So, what's your personal favorite?
(Sorry that the photo is sideways)
KVD 1.5 all day!
6th Sense Crush Flat 75X Squarebill Crankbait ~
Just a fantastic bait.

Depends on conditions, XCal 200 for more active fish and a Bandit 100 for tough bite fish.
Have to say the Bill Lewis echo had a good showing yesterday, but it had 1 trait I didn't like, it spun out on the retrieve once in a while. It may just need a slight tune, we shall see, but it caught fish for sure.
I really like the Speed Traps and Xcalibur series from 100-300. Good hooks, colors, and price..I would say I like almost every square bill on the market as long as it has some chartreuse in it and the bill does not break off easy....Wakes are my thing more than Square bills-Footloose,Mann's, DT Fat, Yo-zuri, KVD, BPS EGG are all very good imo.
Spro fat John 60
x2 on the 6th Sense Crush 75x I used it last year and it has become my favorite squarebill by a longshot. My favorite color is Gizzard Shad. My only problem with the baits are the stock hooks are not very good.
6th Sense Crush 50X!
Norman fat boy
Man i just started using the storm, and I've caught more fish on it than any other crank bait . I hate the 8.99 price tag but love the lure. another favorite is the h2o academy crank (red). the one thing I've noticed about both is that it has a really tight wobble. i just bout a 16.99 ( noise included lure ( sounds like shad) big wobble no fish . i forget the name of it.
btw the crank bait that made the SHAD noise was a livingstong. I'm hoping it will be a winner for me at 16.99 !!
LC 1.5
Dave's Custom Baits. Black Market Balsa. I like the Large size, but fish the mediums in crystal clear water. These are the best baits I've found, not just because of their "hunting" action, but they come over/under/through/around wood better than anything else I've seen.

Those are really nice but pricey, even for me.
Im a big fan of the rapala dt line. especially the dt flat side line
Use to be 1.5 kvds but I'd break like three a trip. I've switched to arashis and never looked back.
Not sure I have met a square bill I didn't like. Cranky m is very good and under rated. Sk is probably the best Line

Really what are you doing with them. I haven't used Arashi they seem nice but a wouldn't guess them to be more solid made
I kept breaking the bill on the 1.5's. The circuit board bills on the Arashi's are much more durable.
Rogers Big Jim .
I use the Bomber Square A and KVD 1.5 more than any others. Don't overlook the Excaliburs, and also the Norman Mad N's and Fat Boys.
KVD 2.5...
Bomber Square A. Love those little things.
Old school for me, the Lucky Craft RC line , Strike King is my second favorite and also runs a little deeper.
Lucky Craft RC 1.5s, 2.0s and 2.5s. The ITO followup version is pretty awesome too.

Excalibur or Xcalibur?
Xcite XB-1 Silent
Lc rc 1.5-2.5
Bandit Flat Max
I want to catch lots of fish, 50 to 100 a day . Rattleless crankbaits , I feel , are usually better than noisy. The crank should be multi colored , broken up , scale pattern ... Bluegill patterns work well in "Green " water . I dont even toss a crankbait with a wide wobble any more. A tight action, easy throbbing lure gets more bites. If the lure is not running straight it will not catch many fish . Theres a lot of fish out there , most of the ones that see a crankbait are not going to hit it . The more negatives that are eliminated the more bites it will get .
A bluegill colored tight wiggling , easy throbbing Big Jim is a lure that routinely catches 50 to 100 fish a day for me . It does not work everytime , no lure does .

The DT cranks are not a squarebill. You can get the DT Fat's, which are more of a squarebill (comes in a 1 and a 3).
Just wanted to clarify that for the OP.
I like the kvd's but I just bought an WEC and it deflects better than any square bill I've ever thrown. It was a total bait monkey purchase
KVD 1.5s are my go to cranks. With Arashis coming in second. I did pick up a couple KVD 2.5s a week or so ago. Threw one a couple time last time I was out. Didn't catch anything in the short timeI used it but did have one follow it all the way up to the boat and swipe at it at the last second.
No love for Cabela's cranks I see. I have been catching them on shallow Pork Chops and Grave Diggers and the Dig-Its are really hot right now. Fished a SK 1.5 and Square A with limited success but they hammered the Dig-It. I like the Bombay & Lime color from Cabela's. It's their sexy shad.
im a sucker for some new Square bills for sure. I recently grabbed some 6th Sense and a new S-Crank, only be on the water once with them so far and they cast pretty well no fish yet but it was a tough day.
H2O Xpress! Because they're cheap, well made, have VMC hooks, and they work.
Lucky Craft - Model depends on conditions. The great thing about Lucky Craft is that they have a lot of variety in sizes, rattles/sounds, diving depths so you can always find something to meet your needs for a given situation.
