I have a box that is all square bills, and other shallow cranks that I'm pretty confident in.
But I'm afraid that if I really kept a "confidence box" I'd never try new things.
LC Pointer 78, SK 3xd, 5xd, flipping tube, 4.5" curly tail roboworm, Rattlin Spook, arkie style jig, Terminator titanium spinnerbait...How many do I get?
12 ft of confidence box, not much, but all mine.

Dynamite or buzzbait. Or a buzzbait with dynamite attached. Yeah that would get em caught....muuuuuhahahahahaha
strike king 3xd, 5xd , yamamoto senko 5in any greenish color/pumpkin watermelon, wacky rig hooks. If there are two thing I can catch fish on its a crankbait and a wacky rig.
stick worm, trick worm, spinner bait, jig, frog
Spinnerbait...covers every depth, changes speeds. Does a little of everything....that gives me confidence.
I don't keep my confidence in a box or tied on a rod. Confidence is built through success. Success only comes with time on the water.
Yup, Location / Depth / Presentation are the keys and when you get all those right you can have confidence in anything you throw at 'em.

And of course a jig
Mostly stick worms, trick worms, Recon worm, crankbaits, and some jigs. Also whatever terminal tackle is appropriate

You can call it what you want, mine is my little bag of essentials, which are baits that are tried true for my neck of the woods, taking into account the conditions and seasons. As far as baits, I carry: Frog, stickworms, fluke, spinnerbaits trickworm and centipedes. If I can't catch something with any of those baits its real baaaad day.

attest;)
**** That Horrible Nightmare that wakes you up during the
middle of the night in a cold sweat. All you can remember
from the dream is that largemouth bass would never again
live in shallows, but had all permanently moved to 20 ft.
deep ledges...
I could only hope HawgHunter.......... that would a wet dream for me!!!
hahaha! Yeah ... there are a few of you out there - ya know, the ones that are messed up in the head from staring at that sonar in 20 ft. of water for too long;)
lol, I been crosseyed before that's for sure....... I been trying to fish deep and learn it, no way near close to "knowing" it yet.
2 foot or 20 foot, I just like catching fish.

Personally I am a hardbaits fisherman and when I carry my confidence box I have a variety of baits. I always carry at least 2-3 different jerkbait a with me. Ralala husky jerks and x-raps are my go to lures. As far as square bills I love the xcalibur XCS series baits. Also, I will have 4-5 jigs in my box. Different sizes, colors, and style jigs are essential. When all else fails I pull out the Strike King spinnerbaits in bluegill or shad patterns and can usually figure out the fish.
Good luck and happy fishing
4"/5" junebug senkos, watermelon trick worms, white super fluke, strike king red eye shad, rebel pop-r.
Anything T-rigged with tungsten gives me confidence.
It's my "quick fish box" on days I don't feel up to loading the car.
