BEST jig trailer EVER 2024

fishing user avatarKowen117 reply :

I'm starting out jig fishing and would like to know whats your favorite trailer why and how to rig them on the jig

any pics you have would help thanks

fishing user avatarcart7t reply :

Rage tail craws and chunks. The instructions for rigging come with the package. Or go here.

Uncle Josh pork crawfrogs and #1 or 11 baitfrogs in colder water 55 and below. The baits have a slit up front (hopefully ;) ) for hooking on the jig.

fishing user avatarDock Master reply :

I have various ones, but the favorites on here are Rage Tails and Netbait Paca Chunks.

fishing user avatarHornytoad 10 reply :

i prefer zoom super chunks.

fishing user avatarCatt reply :

Define Best?

My most productive by far is Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws but Rage Tail is slowly climbed into an extremely close second.

I love this trailer. It's not expensive and is scented as well.

Glen was correct on the picture I posted.

Thanks cart for the info. I dug up some old jars in the garage and was wondering if a pork trailer on a jig would be good, this time of year.

Thanks!

BB :)

fishing user avatarDan: reply :

I don't know about the "best ever" but I strongly prefer the Yamamoto Flappin' Hog.

fishing user avatarsenile1 reply :

I would use more than one type of jig trailer.  For example, RageTail craws and chunks are great and have a lot of action in the pinchers.  So when the bass want action they are great.  But when the bass want something subtle you need a different trailer.  I have found a number of subtle trailers that fit the bill including Yum and Bassnacks from custombassfishinglures.com.

fishing user avatarWillzx225 reply :

I prefer paca chunks during the warmer months and when the water temps get lower I go to a Zoom super chunk or super chunk jr.  I try to match my trailer to the activity of the forage.  Warmer = more active, colder = more subtle

fishing user avatarFive-Alive reply :

I have had great success with the paca craw in about every size but according to Hookset I have to try the Rage Lobster.

fishing user avatardrop-shot fool reply :

I like the chigger craw in both the 4 inch and 3 inch.  Both have produced about the same amount of fish for  me.  I get bit on other trailers, but the bass seem to hang on the chigger craw more.

fishing user avatarBassBandit35 reply :

SK craw and lobster for me.

fishing user avatarspinnerbaitalways reply :

"CRAWPOPS"  if you can still find them around they have been out of production long time. they were and are if you got some west tenn's lil secret!!!

fishing user avatarGRiver reply :

Netbait Paca Chunks only color I've caught anything  on is green pumpkin.
