I had probably 100 of these worms and I've been using them with lots of success and really like them, I found them in my tackle box full of pretty old stuff.
Anybody know the brand and if they are still being made?
Not sure of that particular brand, but Zoom's "Speed Worms" are close. Great on a Texas rig in thick grass.
Yeah I like the speed worm but its a little thicker, I like this worm because it is skinny and has a little smaller of a profile but can still kick some water and attract bass
Flip tail worm, maybe? Maybe some discontinued Gambler product. I don't know. I've seen woms that were segmented like that one before, but I can't place the name of it right now.
No I don't think its a flip tail, man I've been looking and can't figure out what friggin worm this is haha
Could be a Big Bite Baits Sugar Cane worm, but I would have to see what the bottom of the worm looks like (the side that's sitting on your palm).
Im wrong now that I look at it closely. Sorry

Lol no problem man, I'm still looking around on websites trying to find the name haha
Hmm I just looked at that sugar cane worm.... It looks pretty close to the one in my picture, might go pick a pack of them up to try out
Would still like to know what is in my picture though so I can buy more....

Maybe... I'll look into that, the stuff in the tackle box I got them out of is all in a range of 5 year old stuff all the way up to 30 years old... So this worm could have been bought a long time ago
Most of the creme stuff has the brand name on the lure doesn't it? This worm has no letters or logos on it
Here is a bit better of a picture

THANK SOO MUCH to BadBassWV he helped me out by PM'ing me some stuff.... I started to suspect this was a home poured plastic and it is....
Here is a link to the mold. I looked for hours only to find It isn't a store bought lure haha

Use a Google search for "paddle tail worms" and take a look at the available images.
Your worm is a production paddle tail not hand poured, the nose has a sprue.
Tom
That could just be from the mold couldn't it? Why would that mean it isn't a worm made from a mold someone bought
The mold you linked to was not even available 5 years ago. LC just started selling them last year I believe. I used to have a mold similar to that, but the worm body was a little different.

Hmmm, really? Well then that's not it.... Ugh,
Yup Kevin is correct its not even the same mold, the worm I have is 6" but that mold I thought was the same makes 7.5" worms
If it is a store bought lure I'm having a hard time trying to find a brand name...
Maybe this?
http://www.lsbaits.com/6-Padddle-Tail-Worm-2-Cavity-Mold-60PTW02.htm
That's the mold for the worm you have. But it was likely made to duplicate the worm as that company has only been around for 2 years.
I'm gonna try that sugar cane worm out that was mentioned earlier, its a lot like the worm I have.

I think that might be the hand pour mold we were seeing on that other sight. Not the original
I think they may at one time had been sold as "zetabait ding-a-lings" but I guess that mold is then only way to get some now and I'm not about to start pouring my own plastics haha
Make your own mold of it, plaster of paris and a disposable storage container.
Start contacting different plastics pourers and see if the can get the mold.

There are two piece mold available for pouring as well that will have a sprue. I pour stick baits with a two piece plaster mold that I have to cut the tip off of after pouring. The mold he linked to its an injection mold as well.
I remember years ago a company called Producto that made worms like these.
Couldn't tell ya what worm that is,but there are many variations of that worm if you want to try another... But you can make a mould of that worm and create your own replicas.
