it is possible that I can use yo zuri ultra soft on baitcaster ?
yes you can. The ultra soft has less memory than the regular hybrid, that's all. That's why it was designed for spinning reels, but you can obviously use it on baitcasting. I like the 12lb
Very possible.
I use it on my BC reels ,works great!
I have used 8, 10, 12 and the 15 lb lines..so far, I'm liking the 15 lb green mist.
I bought two spools and loaded two Premiers with it. After one outing, I removed it all and threw the spools away. Could've been bad spools I guess but I had too many break-offs to be comfortable with it.
The spools should have read "Ultra Weak" .
You must have got bad spools, because I've put some heavy baits on that line, in fact lots of guys were surprised that I was using such a low lb test, yet I never had a problem.
Trilene 100% fluro.? well, that another story.. >
i have not tried the ultra soft yet. still kinda iffy about it. i know the old works and works well so i keep ordering the plain ole hybrid in 6 8 10 and 12.. the 12 is for the BC and the rest are for the spinning reels. love that line so far in the 2 years i have been using it.
I have never had any problems using the Ultra Soft on my BCs or on my spinning reels. It has always worked great.
Later,
I finally bought a spool of this after all of the reccomendations on here.
I tried it on my spinning reels, and man I hate this stuff. It's way to springy for me. Looks like I'm heading back to old fashioned mono
I have absolutely no problems with it on my spinning rig.I use the 6# test. This stuff is very comparable to the limpness of Trilene XL for me which is also the other line i use.
Yep, ultrasoft alright. :
Matt, you know as well as I do, that if you strip line off a reel, any line except braid will coil up..So imho, that's really not fair to insinuate that yozuri is the only line that does that..

x2. I am using fireline on baitcaster, and it coil up as well.
Had too many lures go flying into the sunset until I switched to Trilene 100%.
What does everyone think of the original hybrid, not the ultra soft?
I like the original better. For me, it handles better.

Would be decent line if it had any abrasion resistance.

Scott, I spooled up one of the Chronarchs I bought awhile back with some 8# on Sunday and headed for the river. Hooked some Tag Alder on the other side that I couldn't shag and couldn't snap that 8# to save my self; finally had to cut it. On the other hand I have had breakoffs for no reason with other Yozuri spools and it happens too often. I realize that any line can have a bad batch, but have been reading too much lately of this happening specifically with Yozuri. I'm starting to lose faith.
How strange is this..? I lost 3 6" swimbaits when I used the 100% trilene, never had one fly off with the yozuri..

Yeah, I was bummed about it too because of all the 'hype' that surrounds the Ultra Soft. I figured it was going to be good line. I was wrong. The regular Hybrid is good line (for casting reels) though and is pretty strong stuff.
Uou guys must be getting blems... ;D

Same with you on the Trilene 100%
i have been using the old hybrid and i have not an issue with it at all. i use them for BC's and spinning rod and rarely have issues with it. but also, i use kvd when i spool it up and soak it before i go out the next day as well. dunno if that makes a difference but i use a lot of the 6-10lb on spinning rods and no issues.. on weightless worm and etc i use the 6lb on a medium acton spinning rod and it does great. the line is tough and never had one break off. not one
I love the #12 ultra soft on my curado it casts and feels like a dream!
I think "Hype" was the key word used, I fell victim to the Yo-Slinky "hype" as well, also a couple other lines I tried, I still have those spools too, like I've mentioned a dozen times before, they're great for hanging the wife's bird feeders. I wont touch it again.
Im not a tourny fishermen so all the this line that line dont get me all excited like others...I fish braid, the end.

Certainly a possibilty..
