fishing user avatarUncle Leo reply :

I would have went with a Curado 100D or DSV. I have both and these are the only reason I have not tried the E. NO NEED

I've got a brand new Curado E7 sitting next to me right now, and it's nowhere near as smooth as my Patriarch.

fishing user avatardodgeguy reply :

i was throwing weightless plastic lizards (7 inch) into a 17 mph wind today with the patriarch with no backlash.also caught my first fish of the year.a 3 pounder at a local pond on a chartreuse 1/2 oz double willow booyah spinnerbait.

fishing user avatarcambridgefisherman reply :

I love my Quantum Tour Edition. I will probably wait for a while for the new ones to drop in price before I get the newest Tour Edition.

fishing user avatarcrappiekid24 reply :

Daiwa all the way! I dont own any of the high end Daiwas yet. But hope to soon.

fishing user avatarOK Bass Hunter reply :

Can't pick anything on the list yet

I use a Shimano 200TE GT.

fishing user avatarJ Francho reply :

ITO Alphas Ai

fishing user avatarNBR reply :

I am in more or less in the Raul camp. I have from some to several made by all except for the Revo's but mine are older and include a BPS reel or two. I like them all. I hope the ice melts soon so I can give them a try.

fishing user avatarCatt reply :

I love polls that ask for your favorite but limit your selection  :)

The Calcutta series of reels represents the core of Shimano's quality, versatility, dependability and long-term value. The TE series of reels is, simply put, one of the finest examples of design and construction you will ever hold in your hand.

fishing user avatartyrius. reply :

Citica or anything at that same level (Revo, etc).

I see no reason to spend a ton of extra money on a reel when this level of reel will do anything you need (unless you're throwing swimbaits or something which requires large diameter lines).

I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

Gotta agree with you. I didn't vote due to limited selection, apparently $150 + is the preference and not the reel.

Personally I like my Citicas(E and D) and Accurist IIs, I haven't found a need to spend more. I(me not anyone else) would rather put the excess money toward a rods, lures, gas, etc.
