Mid Level Rod Brands 2025

I am looking for a mid level brand/model of rod. I would like one with a lifetime warranty of some sort. Off the top of my head the only brand and model I can think of is St. Croix Avid. By mid level I am looking for maximum price being $200.

Dang straight. Falcon Cara's are excellent rods for the money and you can get them with full cork handle or split grip, micro guides or regular size guides. Plenty of options...they have something for everybody.

I think there are many good choices in this price range...Dobyns, Powell, G Loomis IMX (used) etc...
Personally I have used Powell and Loomis GL2/GL3/IMX/GLX...I would stay away from the...GL2/3 IMO the Powell is a better rod for the money.
If I was starting over...I would take a hard look at the Dobyns rods...have heard nothing but great things about them and their customer service.

I am looking very hard at the zillions. I know they are a little above my mentioned price, but I hear amazing things. Any comments about the Zillions?

the cumara line is another good option with lifetime over-the-counter.
if you shop, they can be found for under $200.

I own Falcon and St. Croix rods. Can't go wrong with either one.
I have not had to deal with Falcon yet for any warranty issues but I have with St. Croix. Great people to deal with.

Falcon customer service is also top notch, at least for me they were. I have one Cara and love it so far.
Powell would definitely be a great choice. I haven't had warranty issues, but all of my contact with customer service has been great.
If I was trying to go with just one line of rods, it would be Powell. Great deals can be found on-line as well, making them even sweeter.

i sorry im a BPS junky since i live in close proximity of one but carbonlight or proqualifier arent bad both between 90 and 120 and also wright and mcgill skeet reese rods arnt bad but im not sure if they only come in crankin sticks

I have dobyns and st.Croix rods there both very nice. And you can't go wrong with either. As for there customer service I have no experience with it but I always hear good things from people who have.

just know the "lifetime warranty" on those skeet rods will run bout $50.

awesome rods but not many models to choose from. IMO, they are superior to Cumaras. Be aware that the actions are stiff.

I love my Zillion rods, 7'M and 7'MH, they are ver light and sensitive but the powers are a little off. My 7'MH is rated for the same as a Powell or Dobyns H. They actions are very fast and stiff, well suited for most everything but cranks.

I love my Powells and Dobyns, can't go wrong with either. My Dobyns 705CB Glass is the best crankbait rod I've ever thrown, and I've thrown them all. Powell's are no slough either. A 703 or 704C are both very versatile.

you have to send all of the rod, insured, with a $30 check to get the "lifetime warranty". im sure all manufacturers have some type of costs but personally i think its crazy to spend this much on a $90 rod.

I have three Powell baitcasters, a flippin rod, a frog rod, and a Senko rod. I have been pleased with all and believe that they are a very good value. I bought the first one used from a friend who did not like the split handles, and I liked it so well that I bought two new ones. Powell's service is also good. I broke the frog rod (my fault) and Keith replaced it anyway. Can't ask for more than that. Not quite as light or as responsive as my St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass rod, but they were $80 less. Again, a very good value.

I broke one, being stupid, and explained to them how I had broken it. I wanted them to send me a new tip guide. They sent me a new rod, and charged me $20.
