I've only used Shimano and going into this season, I will be converting most of my baitcaster's to the Quantum Energy's. I have a burner and I will be getting a 5.1:1 gear ratio for deep cranking once the ice melts.

For this poll I voted Shimano since I haven't used the Quantums yet, but I'm liking what I see from the Quantums.

Lord knows I'm not a slave to brand names, but I'd have to say that I wouldn't be upset at having to use a Revo, Shimano, or a Quantum. Never cared much for Daiwa, though.

No it's the silver and gold one. They reduced them by 30 bucks I just got the 2007 Calaog this week and now they have a new prodigy at 99, buty they have the silver ones on clearance

Thanks HPBB I just got a great deal on a used BPS reel that sell for a hundred bucks new I got a used one for a lot less Im told that reel was meade by Pflueger which are my favorites

Shimano. I do like my Daiwa reels, IMO the MagForce system is much better than the system found on most Shimano's.

That's not so unpopular to me Muddy. I like Shimanos first and Daiwas second, but I have one Cabela's Tournament ZX that has served me well for three years with no problems. It's not as smooth as a more expensive reel but it gets the job done.
