Tis the season!
Good stuff. Those new Revolution Reels look cool, and I can't believe all the Berkley bags will go for 1.29, that's a crazy good deal!

Remember it's a rebate, but still awesome.
Berkley has gotten me rebates promptly in the past. I'd expect no different this time.On 1/28/2015 at 7:56 AM, lmbfisherman said:Remember it's a rebate, but still awesome.
Cant go wrong with cheap Berkleys. Pit Boss and Craw Fatty work everywhere, every way.
I have had the opposite experience with Berkley rebates. I didn't get mine from last year's Classic until September! The biggest problem is I throw pit bosses like crazy.
Looks like a couple Stradics on the menu for me
It sucks that the pro qualifier reel sale is in store only. I'm sure my local bass pro won't have many in stock.
I'm hoping to pick up a PQ or two during this sale. Didn't see the fine print where it was in-store only though. Oh well I'll drive there on the first day and hope for the best.
Is their reel trade in program good for all purchases or just on the BPS reels? (I know PQ is excluded).
The reel trade in works for all brands, not just BPS.
I'm not familiar with the reel trade in. What's that entail?
I'd love to get another new carbonlite reel. ..

Bring an old or unused reel to BPS, they give you a coupon. Their is a pricing tier on the flyer. For the reel you're looking for you'd get 15 dollars off the sale price of the carbonlite reel. So it would 84.99
Last year there were no exclusions on the reel coupon.
Just received the paper flyer in the mail today.

The sales are only in-store....

Usually it's good for everything but Shimano as they refuse to participate. Maybe that's finally changed now finally, but I know that's the way it was.

Shimano has participated for the last three years.

I'll be down there hopefully early Friday. Will be picking up at least one PQ and then using the reel trade in to pick up an Abu reel. Not sure which one, leaning towards a Revo SX.

Glad they finally decided to consider the future of the sport.
Same here. Good deals on some lures and line I need to pick up.On 1/29/2015 at 4:08 AM, *Hootie said:Just received the paper flyer in the mail today.

Is the reel and rod trade the same days this year instead of separate weeks as in the past then?

Yes, they both start and end the same dates.
Just called my local BPS in Cincy, they daid they were stocked up with pro qualifiers. I think the term he used was "coming out of his ears" i am hoping for two but if I can get one I will be happy.
So with the reel trade in. If I bring ing three reels, I get three coupons. Can I use all three coupons toward one reel?? Just wondering.

Nope, I believe it is one coupon per rod/reel.

the way I understand it is one coupon per customer &one coupon towards the new reel
One coupon per rod or reel coupon. I dont think there is limit how many you trade in.
They got good rods on clearance also. I just got $160 st croix for $90
When is the online sale going live??? Anybody know?

The online sale will probably start tommroow, but the deals definetly wont be as good as in-store. For example, the PQ's will definetly not be 59$ online
We went down there early this morning (Auburn Hills, Mi store). My dad and I each picked up a PQ reel and I also bought a Abu Revo SX and we each bought a rod. They had a few decent deals. We needed some line and they have buy two get one free in the bass pro brands, so we got a 3 1200 yard spools of 12# excel mono. Other than that I just stocked up on some lures i needed.
BPS - ATL : Picked up a PQ 6:4:1 Right Hand and a spool of Stren 14lb. Mono for top water applications ... I got there an hour and a half after they opened today and most of the line on sale had already been picked over pretty good . There was still a fairly good supply of PQ's showing on the sale stand - but most were left hand retrieve in 7:1:1 gear ratio . In the available PQ right hand retrieve that were remaining - most were 6:4:1 gear ratio with very few 5:2:1 or 4:7:1 gear ratios . The floor salesman indicated the PQ's people grabbed first were the right hand 7:1:1 gear ratio versions , not many of the low gear ratio PQ's were even shipped to the store . It worked out fine for me as I already have 7:1:1 gear ratio PQ's and was looking for a 6:4:1 gear ratio for general purpose . I half thought about picking up a low gear ratio PQ , however I don't crank at all so it would not be of much use to me ... Good luck visiting your local BPS store !
BPS Cincy - picked up a 6.4 and 7.1 PQ. Picked a 6' MH and 6'6" MH BPS exteme rod at $60 a pop. They were out of $10 stick-o's. Said bait shops bought them all up to repackage and resell. Getting kore but not I won't be back for a while. Bought some various zoom baits at 25% off and some shaky heads. Ended up over $250. With my BPS credit card I got another $40 off instantly plus had $10 extra off. Also got $25 back in points. Not a bad trip.

You got that right. Bought four Berkley big game spools on sale with the $5 rebate. Form said limit four rebates per household.
Just got the email notification from the contractor in El Paso handling Berkley's rebate, they are sending me a check for $5.
I contacted BassPro, got the expected response of - that's Berkley's problem, not ours...
Nice to have Academy Sports and Walmarts in town that appreciate the customer....
You probabaly had to send in a rebate slip for each one seperatly.

Sounds about right. I reread my copy and it doesn't spell it out for me....
Never heard back from Berkley, so that tells me not to invest too much money in their products if they won't answer.....
I finally calmed down, the rebate contractor in ElPaso has an "online chat" available. The operator I conversed with found my paperwork, apologized, and said they are sending out the $20. We'll see......
Edit: Just got the notification for the Powerbait rebate, they got that one correct so there is hope.....
Update, still have received zero money.
And Berkley has never responded.
I would have to guess not fulfilling rebates is a source of revenue for some companies....
Buyer beware.....
